Brutal Brooklyn Murder

NY Times, Monday March 16th

BROOKLYN — At 9:30am Eastern, NYPD officers discovered the body of James Montgomery Barber (35) at his business located at 2240 Church Ave. Preliminary evidence indicates that Barber was the victim of gang-related violence, and the official NYPD report claims that Barber was found "murdered in an execution style" in the storage room of his pawn shop.

A neighbor to Barber's Pawn discovered the body when he noticed that James had not opened for business on Monday morning, though authorities believe that Barber may have been dead for upwards of two days before being found.

The NYPD are currently investigating all leads into this murder, and anyone with information related to this case is encouraged to get in touch with the NYPD crime hotline.
