Trivia and Notes

  • The d'Sarthe family has its fingers in many different pies, and the majority of influence is centered in Illinois and Louisiana, though New York City seems to be slowly romanticizing itself with him. They primarily deal in White Collar crime, and other usual things associated with mafia families. Control of contracts, protection rackets, loan sharking, arms and drug trafficking, import/export businesses. In the NYC area, the arms and drug trafficking is less prevalent, though does exist; on that same vein, d'Sarthe seems to be operating slightly more on the side of money exchange, real estate, and high-stakes enterprises.
  • Speaks French, Italian, and English. Mild French accent.
  • Fantastic Chef. He's gotta be, to run his particular empire. In this he is also a food and drink connoisseur.
  • Gideon is a sporting hunter with a crack-shot on most firearms and bows. Not a bad right hook, either.
  • Apt to dress sort of …strangely. Also has a dozen or so tattoos.
  • Known to keep exotic pets and other companion animals. Perhaps even one or two that are not technically legal- though it works wonders when your company has a wildlife conservation facility in rural Illinois. He has some favorites; various small dogs, a cockatoo named Pierre, and a very attached, young Sumatran tigress named Gretchen.
