Escaped Evolved Criminal Apprehended

BROOKLYN — Thursday morning, an explosion and gunshots rocked the Night's Rest Motel at 5200 Grand Street when several Homeland Security officers were forced to shoot and arrest an escaped convict with "dangerous Evolved abilities," officials said.

Several 9-1-1 calls were made at about 10:15 a.m. but no civilians were endangered, according to authorities. The name of the man in question has not been released, nor have details regarding what institution he escaped from, due to ongoing investigations.

According to the motel manager, Henry Garcia, the man in question was taken out on a stretcher and seemed to be seriously injured. About 200 motel patrons were evacuated after the blast, but the motel has resumed normal operations.
