To tie into Richard's comment, I think with some areas there's definitely room to wonder "well, what IS going on in the rest of the world?" and room for odds-and-ends News Reports that might give people things to react to (since we're otherwise infrequently creating them right now). Not sure where the line is drawn with "things that have happened RL also happen IC" in some cases … for example, there's already plenty of talk about 2020 elections coming up, debates, etc. I've been wondering about that with our world since the Medina stuff. Who's running, what're their platforms, etc… I like including that kind of stuff in the background of scenes, or reacting to them in one way or another. But that might be beside the point here :)
I think the SZC needs some love in terms of having things to react to, and I think it would be good to give the Council/Citizen's Watch an event going on the city they need to figure out how to address, their reaction to/being approached by Hands of Mary wanting to do their thing, … it's small stuff, but would be neat to see something happen for, since there's a number of PCs tied to the SZC.
I can't wait for CRIME THINGS between the crime factions to kick off, personally, and I'm looking toward Staten like >:3 Triads v Lexi v d'Sarthe v WhateverTheFuckEugene&CoAre v LoganThings(?) etc etc
I'd like to see more "everyday" interactions that allow for character-building, but I know that can be difficult sometimes with people's schedules … in general, though, I'm thinking of more 'spontaneous' faction RP with SESA, NYPD, Wolfhound … kind of like the Raytech lunch scene that happened? Stuff that allows people to build up their relationships with each other. I think scenes like those might work best either kept to a small number of people, though, or done live? (liiiiives ♥)
My one aside is I'm also a sucker for seeing 'famous'/plot people in regular everyday scenes? It helps them feel more accessible, get you engaged in potential plot-things when you otherwise might not be, and might help give the sense of the plot being more interactive instead of just something that happens 'off-screen'. (for example, I think there's hella interest in what's going on with !Sibyl and !Noah, but she's/they're both off in ???-land and their mystery remains inaccessible.)
