So at the moment I only know for sure that I want to bring back Tuck. I was planning on having him just doing the same old, same old. But after the notes about where we are now, I'm thinking it would be kind of hilarious if he just stumbled into being a pillar of the post-reconstruction community. I figure he got there first by supplying E-Ville residents with badly-needed supplies via a black market. Since he really is a soft touch under all the cynicism, he didn't gouge people and went out of his way to get badly-needed items like certain medication (especially if it was for kids.) On the surface, he was all business, but he would've tossed out enough moments of kindness that he would have gotten a reputation.
Eventually, he had to leave New York. He ended up in Vegas for a stint, working mostly for himself but reigniting some criminal underworld connections. Eventually Vegas got a bit too hot for him too. Lucky for him, he got out of dodge before dodge got set up the bomb.
In between years are a bit of a gap right now, but I do know he makes it back to New York with the first wave of people and starts picking up what's left of old networks. And then, completely not of his own choosing, he ends up heavily involved in the Safe Zone Cooperative. Probably going, 'how the hell did I get a good reputation??'
I'm open to ideas of who he might have helped/run afoul of/worked with in the years between.
Other than that, I've toyed with bringing back Niles, but I don't currently have any ideas for what he might've been up to. My only quasi-idea is that he became a pacifist of sorts who refused to use his powers until he had no other choice and then maybe blew up in a bad way. I think the most interesting angle with him would be that he's still fighting the legacy of a future that never came to pass, and fighting his darker impulses.
