Staten Island: Undisclosed Warehouse

Magnes has been locked up for roughly six days, only seeing people when they come in to feed him. On the second day, he felt helpless and trapped, so helpless that he was stuck to the ground for the entire day. He didn't eat that day.

On the third day, stuck to the floor, super heavy and wallowing in helpless self pity, one of the guards entered to give him his daily meal. The guard was bored, having a bad day, and not exactly happy to be given the duty of watching some random kid, so he decided to make things more interesting, lacing the food with a hallucinatory drug.

Magnes laid there, staring up at the ceiling, then suddenly the ceiling began to transform into metallic silvery mirror-spheres, falling all around him as he rolled around with bound hands and feet, yelling and dodging. "H-hey! Someone help! The roof is falling!" But of course, no one answers.

He finds himself sitting up, staring off into the back of the warehouse. the spheres are mysteriously gone, leaving him confused. Then, a figure, walking closer and closer from the darkness, then the figure reveals itself as Flint Deckard, drawing a leg back to kick Magnes right in the face. Perhaps instinctively, maybe accidentally, his arms break the bindings so he can raise his arms up to his face, but his hands slam on the floor like a sack of bricks.

Deckard is gone, but the newly freed but extremely heavy arms remain. "What's going on? I don't understand, and this stupid power is acting up again! Someone give me my skates!" No one complies.

Then, right next to his face, Abby appears, staring at him with an uncharacteristically judgmental expression, almost condescendingly so. "Hey Magnes, you still can't use that power without your skates? I thought I'd check on you with an astral projection, but it looks like you're just gonna lay there and let those guys have their way with me."

Magnes' eyes widen, then he tries to back up, but his body is weighted down by his arms. He has no choice but to stay in such close proximity, cheeks turning red as 'Abby' is suddenly sitting in a wooden chair across from him, reading the bible. "But I'm gonna save you! I mean it! I just gotta get this stupid power to turn off, then I swear I'll break out and come after you!"

'Abby' simply laughs, staring at him as if he were the most useless person in the world, then she begins to read out loud. "And Jesus said unto them … , "If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to younder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you."

Magnes tilts his head in confusion, appearing completely confused. "What's that supposed to mean?"

'Abby' is instantaneously standing in front of him, then knocks on his head. "Believe in yourself, stupid. Stop worrying about me and just save me! Stop saying 'I can't do it', or 'I'll do it later', do it!" She holds up the bible again, suddenly quoting, "Rise up; this matter is in your hands. We will support you, so take courage and do it."

'Deckard' appears next to Abby, saying, "Do it, asshole."

Then Sylar, "Do it, but I'll take that power right after, and kill your girlfriend, and all of your friends."

Isabelle, "Do it, and I'll teach you all about manhood." with a wink and a giggle.

Mohinder, "Do it, and I'd like to see that fascinating ability of yours again…"

Then, Nathan is sitting behind a presidential desk, off to the side with his fingers locked together, "Do it, then maybe you can take me."

And finally, Victor, who appears with a picture of a random female, "Have you seen my sister? Oh, and do it."

Magnes, inspired, begins trying to stand, struggling against the weight of his arms, then he shakingly lifts them up to his face, opening and closing his hands. "I can do it, I can save you!" He spreads his feet out, tape ripping as he stomps his feet hard on the ground, then everyone begins clapping and cheering, the Justice League is even in there somewhere.

And so, the drug wears off by the end of the day, and he spends the next three days practicing his ability. He may not be able to make himself lighter without skates very well, but he's going to save Abby with God's new gift!

"Excelsior!"
