Coopers Apartment, Le Rivage

There's dogs, outside Coopers door, and through peephole can be seen Audrey in khaki, a plain shirt and a leather jacket, two leash's in hands that hold a box in her arms. That's what's waiting on the other side of Coopers door on the second floor when Audrey waits before taking the dogs for a walk, waiting for him to answer the door this evening.

He had just settled in for the evening, the football game playing in the background, as he looks through the peephole. "Ohhh fuck me." He murmurs softly to himself, glad that he at least has his tan slacks on, though he's only in the white fitted tee that he wears under his dress shirt. Pulling away from the peephole, he combs fingers through his hair to make sure it isn't too much a mess, unlike the rest of him.

When the door opens, Thomas Cooper is giving Audrey one of his cheeky smile. "Hey there, Hanson. What brings you up out of the dungeons to mingle with the common folk?" He takes a step to the side, giving her an open invitation to his abode, which is at least somewhat clean.

Somewhat.

The bachelor pad with it's sports memorabilia and photo's of his daughter, isn't sparkling clean, a pile of unfolded clean clothes is piled on the recliner, his jacket and shirt for the day, draped over the arm o f a couch. Shoes and socks, just kinda kicked where ever. A look in the kitchen would find a sink full of dishes. It's not pristine, but at least it isn't worse then that.

"I need you to take this box, shove it deep in your closet or up on a shelf and forget about it for a bit" Audrey states, getting right down to business. She doesn't look happy, thrilled, overjoyed, you name it. "Sorry to bother you, just wanted to get this done before I take Cooper and Felix for a walk" There's a glance about his place, not the first time she's descended from the third floor to talk with him, or remind him of something. "Make sure to keep a tight eye on the Sylar case, and his father, and don't let anyone bully you"

The box that is suddenly in his arms gets an odd look, brows lifting with curiosity, a look also goes to the dogs that look back at him, his namesake tilting his head. Cooper then looks confused, turning his pale green eyes on to the Home Sec agent. "Ah… why?" The word is drawn out, obviously someone hasn't heard the news yet.

"Is — what's in this box?" Now he's suspicious. "There's not — like some bloody knife or something that you used to cut out the hearts of men?" He doesn't know I there are any, but it sounds about right.

"Because I'm suspended Cooper and if they decide to poke their nose around my apartment and even though what's in the box isn't of such conern that I'd get in trouble for having it, it sure as hell wouldn't look good. So just stuff it in a corner somewhere. Be less hassle for me, it's the wall from the spare room" He's seen it, actually, a few people have seen it before, when they stayed at her apartment during her 'blind' times.

Understanding dawns on the newer agents. "Ooooh. Okay, that makes sense. That… sucks. Damn." There is a touch of disappointment that she won't be around the offices as he continues to stumble around like some toddler getting it's legs still.

Cooper glances at the box again, his head nods. "Yeah, I'll toss this up in my closet. It's a pretty big mess, up there, but I am sure I can wedge it in there," brows furrow, "somewhere."

"Sucks is not even a word that closely resembles the situation" Audrey mutters, watching him handle the box with a bit of a frown, keeping her hands on the leash's so that she doesn't leap forward to take it back. Sylar's in the box. She's still reeling and angry from her suspension, from the words that the Strauss woman dropped at her.

"Four years and two agencies. That's how long I've been on this case. You think…"

She derails, shuts up, already thin lips pressed thinner. "You'd think that considering if it wasn't for me, He wouldn't be where he is, Parkman might still be diddling around on the streets, maybe made detective, if I hadn't convinced people to give him a break" She shakes her head.

"You sound like you need a few beers." It's an honest assessment from Cooper, as he studies her, box cradled in his arms. "Seriously… I can't even imagine." He says softly, brows furrowing a bit. The joking demeanor sounds like it's going to drop away, but then he adds.

"Could toss a laxative into his coffee? Know where he live? Could leave a present." His eyes dropping to the dogs, mouth pulling to one side into a smirk. "Sorry… I know you don't need to hear something like that." The smile is offered to Audrey. "Seriously tho, I'm sorry Parkman got a stick lodged so far up his ass that it hit his brain. Cause I think suspending you, was a big fucking mistake."

Aww. Cooper gave a compliment!

|Rare thing, and it wasn't a perverted joke, or riding on the tail end of one. Audrey scrunches her nose, freckles shifting as skin shifts to accommodate the move of muscles beneath. 'Christ Cooper, you're advocating that I actually go to a bar and sit down beside someone, get hit on and think of something other than work?" She looks over at him, a semi-seriously horrified look on her face. "you mean, have a life for at least a night? I don't know what I'd do with myself"

"Nooo… cause I can't see you allowin' anyone to hit on you, without you breaking their nose." Cooper points out with a matter of fact look. He's been around her long enough to know not to seriously hit on her. He likes his nose the way it is. "But…" He glances over his shoulder at the apartment.

"I got beer here if your worried about some guy feeling up your junk." He shifts the box enough to jerk a thumb over his shoulder. "Gotta watch football tho it's the start of the season, I pay for the channels, I'm watching football." Yes… Cooper is putting his foot down on that. "Or… I can Tivo the game and go with, that way you can pretend to be attached to me and keep the losers at bay, cause you are already with one."

"You're not a looser Cooper, you're just the two time throw back." Her tongue slides over her teeth behind her lips, looking down at the dogs who both strain at the leash and sniff what they can inside Coopers apartment. "Let me walk them first, then we can sit and watch" She doesn't mind football. "I'll be back in ten minutes, if Cooper behaves and lifts a leg like he should"

His hand goes to his chest, and Cooper sounds shocked. "Holy shit… a compliment." But then he breaks into that grin of his and jerks his head in the direction down the hall. "Go on Hanson. I'll be here and I'll take the time to stash this thing," his hand pats the box, " and try to… make sure you have a place to sit." Brows furrow and he looks over his shoulder at the living room.

"Take your time." Cooper might still be folding when she gets back.
