Overgrown Cemetery

The vast graveyard stretches for kilometers, with dark damp soil making everything feel cold as you-know-what. Signs of mass graves, loose soil, and the faint smell of rotting flesh are present around the outer edges, ominously surrounding the original relaxed single-grave style in the center. Many of the old graves have been vandalized or exhumed, leaving many empty six foot deep holes scattered around. Some open holes are still curiously empty, while others have been reorganized into piles of bodies, forgotten and unburied, and still more are just as likely to house the living.

The marble sculptures and tombstones of long ago have been reduced to nondescript lumps of rock, but this doesn't stop people from placing new markers for the deceased — yet it seems futile since none of it will stay. The inhabitants will take whatever stone and scrap metal are left here, using them to build makeshift shelters, or simply reorganizing them to whatever chaotic patterns they worship.

The moon rests high in the sky. A few clouds pass by and the wind howls by as a figure sits on one of the stones in the cemetery. The wind blows her hair, her long jacket she wears whips in the wind. Stone cold light grey eyes stare out towards the sky. Lips move but the words are drowned out.

Eve Mas is waiting.. someone is meeting her here. But if he knows that he is meeting Eve is, is the question. The singer taps her fingers on the stone and tilts her head. "Late." She says softly.

Adam ambles through the cemetary where just a few days ago he was taken in for questioning by the police. He pauses as nearby a figure makes herself known through the dark. This bird is a bit of a stalker. He makes his way towards her and says, "Well, Hello Eve."

She was bored tonight, so why not meet with the immortal man. "Adam." She says in greeting but she doesn't turn to look at him. "Why does a man who will not die.. visit the resting place of the dead?" a simple question for Adam. "Strange behavior." Eve sighs and looks around the area. Still not looking at Adam.

Adam shrugs a bit at the thought, "Because they are all those who weren't me." he says, "Everyone who I've outlived. You don't think that's something of an accomplishment?"

"Pretty good accomplishment I suppose." Eve shrugs as well and she smiles at Adam. "You.. I have something for you." She taps a wrapped medium sized painting leaning against her rock. "Dreamt this the other night, are you planning on cheating on me?" She teases lightly and hums softly. "Go on, take a look. It's quite a surprise if you ask me."

Adam arches a brow at a present, then smirks at the cheating business, "I wasn't aware that we were…" he pauses, "Exclusive. That might have been something you'd want to mention." he steps forward and opens the painting up to take a look at it.
"Ahh, we aren't. I don't even like you." She says poking fun at the man. Eve's eyebrows raise as she watches Adam look at the painting.

It's a simple painting, a man stands next to a women in a beautiful white dress. Her blonde hair done up and her face turned towards Adam, a soft smile for the man. She looks older, but not /old/. Adam is wearing a tux and holding the woman's hand as the sun sets in the background.

"Guess who it isss." She says in a singsong voice and winks at Adam. "My this took me by surprise. Who would have thought it."

Adam squats down by the painting as he looks over the painting. He studies the woman quietly for some moments and says, "Well, it's not exactly clear." he says, "So…what, I'm going to get married to a blonde?" he questions.

"Abby." Eve points at the painting indicating the woman in the white dress. "Sometime in the future.. the two of you are wed." she waits for Adam's response.

Adam snorts and stands, "That's ridiculous." he says, "Marrying Abby would undo all the good will I'd already achieved from her." he shakes his head, "I think maybe you were just having a bit of jealousy. Odd you chose her, though."

A hand curls and it goes to something under her coat. "Jealous?" then something happens that Eve.. well she's never done in quite a long time. She laughs, and she isn't just laughing. She's howling, "You.. have got to.. be kidding me."

It takes Eve a moment to stop laughing and then she looks at Adam with a soft smile. "Don't listen to my vision.. but just watch and see." She chuckles softly.

Adam tilts his head a moment towards Eve and then says, "Alright, I suppose we will." he pauses, "So what are you planning to do with this painting?"

"It's yours if you want, if not. I'll just put it with my others, quite the collection I have." Eve says with a soft smile and looks at Adam. "How are your plans going?"

Adam mms, "Plans are going well." he says, "I'll be leaving the city in a few days for a few weeks. Hopefully all will go as planned and then I'll be back in the city. And you? You never stay for conversation, don't quite know what you're up to."

"A trip?" Eve tilts her head. "I'll dream about it." She says confidently and runs a hand through her hair. "I am up to a lot of things Adam. Most recently.. just dreaming the future. Helping who I decide to help with my visions, there are other things coming.. though. I might be busy within the next few weeks." She says and looks at Adam now.

Adam mms, "A trip indeed." he leans against a headstone, "I hope you'll decide to help me with those visions.." he pauses, "And why is it you'll be so busy in the next few weeks?"

"We'll have to see, what you are giving me in return?" she asks with a chuckle. "I just have this feeling." She shrugs lightly, "Maybe I'm just imagining things." Eve looks back up at the moon.

Adam tilts his head to one side, "And what is it you want that I'm not already giving you?" he questions. He sits down on a headstone again and murmers, "Well, I suppose your feelings are something you should listen to."

"Adam.. I don't /want/ anything." Eve shrugs. "What I want.. you can't help me with." She answers softly and looks at the rock she is sitting on. "I listen to my feelings a lot. Too much I think."

Adam arches a brow at this quietly, "Well, alright." he says. He pushes off the headstone, "So what now, eve?"

"Let's get out of here." She says and stands up, she begins to hum and walk away from Adam and the rock. Leaving the painting there, for Adam to pick up of course.

Adam rolls his eyes a moment and then glances at the painting. There's no benefit to leaving it out here. He picks it up and then follows along with Eve.
