Date July 11, 2009

Biddy Flannigan's Irish Pub

Dim yellow light accents natural wood floors and rough brick walls, the interior design that lends to a warm and old-world atmosphere. While foreigners would balk at the notion of calling this place a pub, due to its strictly Americanized layout, the patrons here are comfortable with the level of decour being just European enough to accent the stout served behind the bar. Biddy Flannagan's is a local fixture here in the Upper East Side, a place of welcome respite for the thousands of upper and middle-class residents of the neighborhood to come and share a pint amidst a comfortable and warm atmosphere.

Inside of the pub, it's hard to tell whether it's day or night outside, with thick burgundy curtains covering the front windows, and the deeper recesses of the pub near the bar shrouded in the smoky air darker still, creating a certain ambiance that lends itself to drinking.

Adam has asked both Ash and Kaylee to meet him here at the newly renovated Biddy's. There's some men moving around, rearranging boxes and what not to make sure all the finishing touches are done. Adam, meanwhile, sits in a corner table sometime during the night, waiting to be joined by others.

It's been eating at her for days, so today she's gonna make the confession today she's gonna tell him. Kaylee sweeps into the bar, wearing her leather jacket as she had ridden the Harley there. There is no hesitation as she makes straight to Adam's table. Dropping into the seat next to him she says, "I went to Staten a few days back." She says it like it's no big deal.

Ash makes his way into the bar, he's got a rather dour expression on his face as he does so, his eyes hard and his manner a bit stiff. He looks around as he steps inside, then spots Adam and Kaylee and makes his way over there, shrugging out of his woolen coat as he does.

Adam glances at Kaylee sidelong as he considers her for some moments. He frowns, "I'm starting to think you don't respect me, since you never listen to anything I say." then he glances as Ash walks in and nods, "Well, you had something interesting to tell me too."

"No.. I respect you Adam. I'm telling you ain't I?" Glancing at the arrival of Ash, Kayle smirks a bit. "I had something I needed to do. Glad I did too. I got info on that Dio guy from a pawn shop owner there." Raising her hand in greeting at the arriving thug. "Hey there. So.. You've met Dio too huh?" No hi or hello… Just the brightly asked question.

Ash nods his head and slips into a chair, sitting down across from Adam and sighing. "Yeah. Isis has this asshole of a friend named Diogenes. I was hoping you guys could help me to track him down. I want to give the fucker a message. He used my girlfriend to go after some telepath that fucked with his mind, apparently they fucked with some poor pawnshop guy. Problem is, she didn't know what was going on when she went in. He lied to her and used her, told her he was going in for a cellphone battery, then ended up jumping the guy and shit. I want him to know exactly how kindly I take to his actions."

Adam pauses quietly for some moments as he listens to the deluge of information. He steeples his fingertips together for some moments as he says, "Alright." carefully. "So, Ash, Kaylee…you both want to see an end to the actions of this Diogenes. Interesting." then he turns to Ash slowly, "And…he used Isis and is a friend of hers?" he question as if he wants to make sure he heard something right.

"Well well," Kaylee says looking intrigued. "Hot damn.. and here I thought it was going to be tough to find him." There is a glance to Adam. "More like I want to get to him before he gets to me." Her eyes shift between the two. "Just not sure how to do that. Tuck said that this guy can paralyze a person. Said that when Isis took his body, Dio paralyzed him." Turning her attention she points at Ash, "Remember that. Especially if she's a friend of his." She doesn't sound happy about that fact.

Ash goes quiet, letting Adam think, his face still angry though, but not at anyone here, just in general. "Yes, I want to see an end to his actions, for his using of Isis, and some… person shit he decided to bring on himself when I found him in the apartment. He was very rude." His voice a bit rough. "Yes, he did use her, and yes, she claims he's a friend." He turns his eyes on Kaylee then and chuckles a touch. "I take it you're the telepath then? That this guy is looking for? I know you were doing something to me that day.." He shakes his head, slowly. "There's a very simple way to deal with someone like that." He lifts his hand into the position of a gun and makes a little noise as he clicks the thumb down, then shrugs some.

Adam looks between Kaylee and Ash quietly for some moments. His lips purse for some moments, "A paralyzer." he says as if he was testing that word out. He looks at Ash and his suggestion, "No. There's always multiple ways of dealing with someone." he frowns and says, "First, we must see if he will see reason. It's always best to try and work these things out reasonably first." he pauses, "Will Isis put Diogenes in a place without his knowledge of who will be there?" he asks of Ash. There's obviously a look on his face that indicates it shouldn't be a question. She is, after all, an employee.

Kaylee shakes her head. "If he doesn't paralyze you first." The question about her being a telepath is ignore, if she wanted to he'd stop thinking of her as a telepath. So let him think what he wants. Her attention goes back to Adam. "As long as he decides to stop hunting me, I'm up for anything Adam. Your the boss.. means your the smart one." Kaylee gives him a big toothy grin, but thn adds seriously. "I just want him off my tail."

Ash looks over to Adam, and then shakes his head to the man's question. "No, she won't. She won't betray a friend like that." He sighs softly and lifts a hand to run his fingers back through his hair slowly, his eyes closing as he takes in a breath to calm himself somewhat. His eyes turn on Kaylee then as well, a smile touching his lips. "Hmmm, you could take away his memories couldn't you? Could you remove memories of All of us? Isis included? i don't want the little fucker around her." He growls a touch, his voice angry. "I'd like him to leave you alone as well Kaylee, I just came in here for myself, didn't realize it was you he was after till I got here and sat down."

Adam drums his fingertips upon the table slowly as if in quiet thought before he asks Ash, "Where is it that Diogenes met Isis?" he questions.

Shaking her head Kaylee looks a bit apologetic. "I can't. It's complicated.. The memories are still there.. but I'm absent from them. He would remember meeting someone, but not who. I can't completely remove them. I'm not that good, may never be at that level. And I'd rather avoid doing that again. We can see what happened the last time." Kaylee goes silent with a glance at Adam.

Ash shrugs his shoulders a bit. "I don't know. I didn't ask her where they met." He leans back in his chair, his thick arms crossing over his chest, a grumble from him. "I just want the little dickhead out of her life and out of mine… and out of all of ours now that I know he's a problem for everyone. That's why I think offing him would be easiest, safest, and cleanest. Just empty his fucking brains onto the pavement." His head nods a bit to Kaylee's comments, a sigh coming from him.

Adam considers all this. "Alright." he says, "I will take this into consideration. I think, simply, it would be best if everyone cooled down until we find Diogenes and then we will go from there." he turns to Ash, "If you find him, you're to contact me, not off him yourself." he turns to Kaylee, "The same goes for you. Nothing puts an organization down like uncoordinated responses. Meanwhile. You're both on call. Some things might be happening that I want both of you ready for. And don't forget, we'll be leaving soon." he slips his finger to his lip, "Alright. Until we find Diogenes, that'll be it."

"Personally, if I am alone, I'm staying far away from the mother f'er." Kaylee comments with a smirk to Adam. "And call you, of course." Her blue eyes then move to consider Ash, she gives him a serious look. "I would like to stress that it is of the utmost importance that you not mention to Isis about me and what I can do." Folding her arms she leans forward to rest them on the table. "I don't care if she is Adam's employee… or your girlfriend. She's friends with Dio and I don't want it to accidentally get back to her." A smile tugs at the corner of her mouth. "Call this a little exercise in trust. I'm not touching your memory.. So keeping it a secret is on your head. And I'll know…"

Ash tilts his head, slowly, obviously not happy, but he's not going to go against his new found boss on this. He needs the job, rather badly at that. So he stays quiet, simply watching them both. His eyes turn back to Kaylee then and he scowls at her. "What am I? Fucking stupid? Of course I'm not mentioning you, or any of this. I don't need her alerting that little prick to our intentions." He rolls his eyes a bit, lifting his hand to his forehead, rubbing there. "Sorry… just… irritated, stressed…"

Adam nods a bit, "That's understandable Ash. But those are things you must control. Thinking straight is what's going to get everyone through this with minimal.." he pauses, "Minimal problems." he glances towards Kaylee, then towards Ash, "We will, of course, do everything to keep Isis out of this. And I'm not saying any harm is likely to come to her, but if she continues to keep poor company, you realize she may end up being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Perhaps it would be best if you asked her if she wouldn't like better company."

When Ash scowls at her, Kaylee's smile just grows, "Didn't say you were." She looks like something he said was very interesting. "But I've always heard people mention honesty and no secrets in a relationship. Some people actually believe in that. Just had to cover it in case." Leaning back in her chair again she flicks dismissive fingers at his apology. When Adam looks at her she arches a brow at him, but doesn't say anything.

Ash snorts aloud at Adam's suggestion. "You're her boss, she has to do what you tell her to. I'm her boyfriend, she doesn't listen to me worth a shit. I already asked her not to go around him and she's ignored me." He shrugs his shoulder some, then turns his eyes on Kaylee, clear annoyance on his face at her smugness. "Yeah well, when your girlfriend is hanging out with a little bastard that likes to paralyze people and assault them for information and get her into trouble some secrets need to be kept."

Adam nods and purses his lips a bit. "Alright." he says, "We'll take care of this. Soon, it will be a non issue." and he says it with such lazy confidence that it's almost like he was talking about a fact." he turns to Kaylee and pats her on the side of the head affectionately like a daughter before he says, "You, meanwhile, will be helping out around here when you're not working elsewhere." he turns to Ash. "Also, you should inform your girlfriend that I'm going to need her for double shifts for the grand reopening, yeah?"

Kaylee gives Adam an amused look as he pat's her, but there is also a sense that she does respect this man. "Hope so." But then she wrinkles her nose at the mention of extra work. "Aw… Seriously?" She gives a dejected sigh. "Alright." As if she'd ever really deny Adam. "What are you gonna have me doing? Waiting tables?"

Ash uhhhs and then nods his head. "Okay.." he murmurs, then stands to his feet. "Well, I haven't seen her… actually since yesterday.." And now he looks worried. He pulls out his cellphone as he nods to Adam and to Kaylee, then turns to head outside, heading home as he yacks into the phone.

Adam nods quietly to Ash as he leaves, then turns to Kaylee, "Among other things. But you won't be alone." he points to some of his random goons, "A few of them will be helping too." in a way, it's almost like he's planning something. But in the end, he stands, "You're lucky the punishment isn't worse."

Kaylee wiggles fingers at Ash in farewell and watches the man leave. When he's out of hearing she gives a heavy sigh. "Figures he's got a girlfriend, " she mutters. "Just can't cut a break and find a cute guy.. ya know?" She trails off as Adam starts talking to her. The last thing gets a wince out of her, and her eyes drop away and she nods. Way to go girlie. Maybe you shoulda kept it to yourself… No.. Can't do that, he actually seems to care. He's not like the others. Glancing back up at him she says, "Yes sir. Thank you."
