Eimi is a street rat who has found herself tantalisingly close to the New York Safe Zone… who knows. Maybe one of these days she'll even find herself inside it.

Eimi is able to teleport herself, objects she touches, and up to two additional people. This teleportation is quick, taking between the time that it takes to blink, and five to thirty seconds. The time that elapses is proportional to the concentration that it takes in order to complete the 'jump'. Large objects or taking along additional people ups the concentration required. Additionally, the more complicated an object is, the more concentration it takes to teleport it. There is a slight exception to the concentration requirement and that is for the clothing that Eimi is wearing and up to one backpack or messenger bag. Although for the first week or so when she manifested she kept leaving behind either some of her clothing or all of it, she now takes those with her by default.

She does have to be able to see where she is going. For this, pictures and videos do not constitute an adequate representation of a place as it is now for her to be able to teleport to. However, she can teleport across much greater distances with the aid of optical magnification such as what is provided by either a pair of binoculars or a telescope. All she needs to see, although she's not aware of this yet, is where her feet are going to land when she rematerialises (and where things or other people are going to land if she's taking passengers), so she is able to teleport through windows and such just not solid walls.

Additionally, Eimi is able to teleport multiple times in rapid succession, needing only the amount of time that it took to teleport in order to recover and be able to teleport again, with longer jumps taking a longer time to complete and very short jumps being nearly instantaneous. This allows her to dodge in bad situations, flickering in and out (this also happens occasionally when she's anxious), and also allows her to cover large distances rather quickly. It could potentially also allow her to teleport to places where she can't stand, such as uneven surfaces, and teleport again before she falls.
