Background

Bowie was born to a pair of immigrants from Taiwan and grew up in NYC with them above their little corner store. They were a happy little family and he was loved and supported. They leaned on each other when the bomb hit Midtown, when the Evolved were revealed, when he went to college, when he joined the Air Force. They were proud of his choice to become a nurse and rescue officer, and in his desire to help other people.

In 2011, he sent them back to the family in Taiwan and he took up arms against his President and his comrades to join the fight against Mitchell's regime. So, after the war, as America started its first steps toward recovery, he joined SESA, continuing to try to do what is right.

Psych Profile

Bowie is a dedicated and driven person. At work, he will get the job done. He's serious-minded and reliable, valuing diligence in himself and in others. The strict hierarchy of military and government work is where he's most comfortable, as knowing his place on the ladder and having his duties clearly outlined is how he likes to work. He makes informed, but quick decisions and gets easily annoyed over endless deliberation. Meetings are a horror.

In a more relaxed, non-work setting, he is also more relaxed. The qualities that make him a good leader also make him a friendly person, easy to talk to. He has a lot of passion for his work and his hobbies, and the people he considers close to him. Protection comes easy to him and sometimes he has to remind himself that others don't always want a bulldog hovering around them.

• Bowie was a Combat Rescue Officer in the Air Force before the Second Civil War, and has a nursing degree and an RN license that he keeps up to date. He specializes in emergency care.
• He was with the parts of the military that turned and fought against Mitchell during the war. He was active on the front lines and continued his work as a combat rescue medic. Did he save your life? He might have.

	A strange, but likable woman who can see the future. Or the past. Or… maybe a telepath? Bowie's not sure, but his first meeting with her was a memorable one. If they ever get a second, he's sure it's going to be interesting.

At Work

	Brother from another mother. Bowie considers Cesar family. They tease and fight like it sometimes, but also have each other's backs.
	Sawyer is capable, talented, and a little scary (to the bad guys, of course).The first choice on any mission. Bowie would love it if she was the only choice. But then the others would get jealous. It's important to keep camaraderie high in the workplace.
	This kid is something of a problem. In that he likes to get into trouble. He does his own investigating on his own terms and it makes Bowie nervous. Both for the sake of clean crime scenes and for the kid's health and well-being. He's offered him a way to learn the right way and a path onto legitimate investigating. He believes he has the right personality for it, he just wants him to be careful. And safe.

Skills

• Nursing: Bowie has an RN license that he keeps up to date. He has worked in emergency situations mostly, given his time in the Air Force. His only time in a hospital setting was during his college years.
• Military: He's been trained in military weapons and tactics, but also in how to perform risky rescue operations. He's pulled people out from active war zones and collapsed buildings alike. And treated them in similar conditions. He can fly a helicopter, but that is the extent of his piloting capabilities.
• Languages: Bowie grew up in a multilingual home. His parents spoke Taiwanese and Mandarin, and he picked these up alongside the English he learned in school and in the neighborhood. He often acts as unofficial interpreter for his parents, even now.
• Leadership: During his time in the Air Force, Bowie reached the rank of Senior Master Sergeant due to his education, but also because he was always willing to step up and showed a natural inclination to lead. His unit listened to him, liked him and looked up to him.
• Gardening: Learned from his parents from a young age, Bowie knows how to keep a garden. He finds it practical, but also soothing. It's something that brings him back to a happy childhood before he knew what trouble the world was heading for.
