Background

Rosario was a child in the foster system until adoption by a Puerto Rican family at the age of 13. The difference in culture took some adjustment, but she fell deeply in love with her new family, their customs, and their language. Her parents lived in Ridgewood until just before 2014, when they fled the States to be with family in Puerto Rico. Rosario returned after the war with her son, but her parents did not.

Rosario is a community-builder who doesn't realize her own power. She tends to be the one to organize get-togethers, initiate acts of support for coworkers and neighbors, but hasn't exerted the drive to do something like join the SZC.
