Dorchester Towers: Ethan's Apartment

Dorchester Towers is home to many upper class, or more wealthier inhabitants. This apartment seems to be no exception. First impressions of this place, give a homey, and well furnished feel. Lamps are put in the right place, decorations here and there. The living room consists of a large green sofa facing the wall of windows, which has a large flatscreen TV in front of it. Speakers are installed all around for the Surround Sound feel. Next to the TV is a cabinet full of DVDs. Most of these movies include a gun of some sort in each of them. A small coffee table sits in front of the couch, a few magazines spread out on it.

The kitchen is well stocked, with a microwave, coffemaker, and of course a toaster. There is an overhead pan rack hanging over the stove which has many pots, pans, and other utensils hanging from it for easy access. Three doors lead away from the kitchen and living room. Two are large, comfortable bedrooms, complete with posters on the walls, and one is a room that is furnished with a stand up punching bag, dumb bells, a treadmill, and other types of work out equipment.

For the -extremely- well trained eye, or for someone who knows what they're looking for it would be apparent that there are little things off about this apartment. Reinstalled panels, etc, that would suggest whoever lives here has done some rennovation work. (Note:Ethan has 'toys' hidden throughout his apartment, in case of 'emergencies'.) Overall though, this spacious living area has been well taken care of, and kept very tidy.

It's been two days - forty-eight hours when the clock subtly moves its longer hand to point at the third dot between the six and the seven - since Amato found out about Munin's capture. On that precise moment in time, he raps his gloved knuckles against the door to Ethan's apartment.

It is rare that Amato's appearance is out of order, but this evening, he could conceivably be cut out of marble, like the statue of a saint or hero from the leather book he holds so dear. Not one hair is out of place. Not one stitch of his clothing is askew. Everything appears to be in order.

Appears, however, is a tricky, tricky word.

A sigh escapes Ethan's lips as his eye peers through the peep hole to a face that he would absolutely love to not be seeing right now. A roll of his eyes, as the man turns to place his back against the door. He must know about Munin. Why else would he come here… Bringing up his hand, the Wolf quickly unlocks and opens the door, stepping away from it.

He does not talk to Amato, just yet. The door is opened and the man walks with his back to the entrant. He returns to the table. A few different papers and photographs are laid out on it, and the man moves back into his chair. He seems to be studying. Nothing is said, yet.

Keeping in the theme of silence, Amato closes the door as quietly and quickly as he is able before he follows after Ethan. His pace if calm and unhurried, his hands tucked into the pockets of his long coat.

It is only once he has come to rest beside the table and taken a moment to glance at the photos arranged there that he speaks, his voice much like the rest of him - solid and unforgiving. "It is rare that I come to you for information, Ethan," he observes blankly, "but I do believe that it is you who has something for me today. You needn't touch a soul to know it, either." Amato keeps his eyes on the photos, falling silent again.

"What do you want." No inflection is given to make it a question. A flat tone. A tone that suggests the question is unwelcomed and the answer will be limited. He continues to study the different assortment of files laid out on his table. His gaze goes up to Amato just for a moment. A warning gaze.

"I need information regarding the events that led up to Munin's disapperance and capture." Idly, Amato turns a photo on the table so that it is oriented for his viewing rather than Ethan's. His face, like his voice, remains business like, though not as flat as Ethan's. It is as if he were discussing any other matter of the Work with him, though without any of the fervor or passion that occasionally wells up within him to the point of exposure. "Given her state recently, assuming she did not undergo a solidification of her loyalty, it remains possible that she deserted us of her own free will.

"Therefore, the need to apprehend her and learn of her motives. Only then can further action be taken." He pauses, then in one careful, deliberate action, reorients the picture on the table. "This mission, if you care to call it that, is outside the realm of Phase Two. What do you know, Ethan?"

It is only then that Amato lifts his eyes to meet Ethan's, but there is nothing in them. Their pale color only makes them appear colder…more like the eyes of another than Amato's own.

"Munin… Was captured. She did not desert. And I will not allow you to derail my work to pursue your own personal fantasies." He watches Amato, his brows narrowed into a near glare. His hand snaps to the picture, turning it back. Then he stands out of his chair to match Amato's gaze. "This is not outside of Phase Two. And even if it is, I don't give a fuck." He says levelly, taking a step forward.

"So you better 'urry and tell on me to Kazimir. I will find Munin. I will talk to her first. If and when you speak to her, I will be the one allowing it. So, my good friend. Choose your next words and steps carefully. You can aid me, or you can be an obstacle." A cold look. "You've known me long enough to know what happens to obstacles laid in front of me."

There is silence once again, and while Amato remains as emotionless as a rock on the outside, passionate rate and frustration flare up within in. It takes a moment for him to regain control enough to speak, his tone unchanging. "It occurs to me that you might not be aware of the entirety of the situation. As much as Munin may be your countryman, she is much more to Kazimir. I would not assume, if I were you, that he would not find out she has been taken by Phoenix, whether it be through myself, one of the others, a method of his own, or a messenger of her own devising."

There is another pause, and Amato's marble face cracks with a smile, though it is considerably polite and therefore doubtfully genuine in this case. "But you have given me what information I required of you. Good evening." Amato turns then, trusting Ethan as he walks back toward the door.

"Amato." Ethan says, going to take a seat on the edge of the table as he watches the other man with a hard gaze. "You talk too much." He practically growls. With that, he goes back to studying his papers. Flashing one last look up to the door after the other man has finally left. "I'll silence you soon. Don't you worry." The words are silent, a solemn promise to himself.
