Born in Saint Louis, Missouri in 1967 to a long lineage of law enforcement agents. His father was a patrolmen, his grandfather was a detective, his great grandfather was an officer, so on and so on. His mother worked a minimum wage job for over fifteen years at a fast food restraunt. His parents did everything they could to live happily and ensure that Gerald was too happy and loved.
Gerald went to school, like most children, he was an honor student but he certainly wasn't the genius in his class. He didn't mind school, but he wasn't academically inclined like most, he was more of an action type of person. He needed to do something and experience for it to really stick with him. Working on cars, fixing the plumbing in his house, he helped his father do all of these things when the moment arised. Eventually, when old enough he took over these tasks as his father spent more and more time on duty than at home, making Gerald the man of the house for the most part.
His school years seemed to pass by pretty quickly until graduation rolled around and that's when tragedy struck his family. His father was killed in the line of duty by some freak incident involving a suspect in a warehouse. The details on his father's murder was never fully disclosed — all he knows is that his father and the suspect are both supposedly dead. For about a month, Gerald went into solitude, delving into depression but one day as he woke up he just decided that he wasn't going to live this away. His father wouldn't want him to live this way, Gerald and his mother both were well aware of the dangers of the job.
After coming out of his depression, Gerald immediately went to sign up for the Army Reserves, from there he went to boot camp training and after that he was headed back home. Gerald at this point never made any close or personal friends, he only had colleagues, superiors and subordinates. This is when he began to travel in his father, grandfather, great grandfather's footsteps.
His path lead him to become an officer of the law when he returned home. He lived with his mother for a while until he could save up enough money to find a place of his own. But fate had other plans for him as his mother having been diagnosed with cancer while he lived with her so it lead to him staying with her for a few years until her passing. All he did was take care of her for the next two years and work, but even his job suffered because of his personal life, spending more time at home taking care of his mother than on duty.
After his mother's passing, he went back to work which from there consumed his life completely and utterly from this point on. Everything he did was by the book, everything he did he did promptly and gave it the attention that it required. He worked day and night whenever he wasn't sleeping, he was working. He never spent time at his apartment, he'd work up to three days at a time with no sleep.
He did this for another 5 years, putting in 8 years of service by the time he was 29 years old. By this time, Gerald had set his sights on becoming a detective. So Gerald studied, practiced, did everything he could so that by the time that the next exam date came around, he was prepared and because of his studious preparation for the exam he passed it with flying colors, getting excellent marks on the field exam, however he did somewhat poorly on the written, but it managed to balance the two and he was able to slip by and become a detective.
Again, fate had other plans in mind for Gerald, he wasn't destined to become a Detective, instead, the man was approached a week later by some agents. They asked Gerald if he wanted to make the world a better place. Gerald simply said yes that he would and from there, the agents escorted him to a facility.
Once there, Gerald was then introduced to the company and extended an offer to work for the company. They explained to him what their position was, how they operated, basically gave him their mission statement and extended a one time invitation to join them. Of course, Gerald at this time, felt that he could be more than just a detective, or policeman like his fathers before him and to him this seemed like the perfect opportunity to become something more. He accepted.
Gerald's history with the company is heavily classified and certainly not accessible to any low ranking members. Gerald's service to the company continues on now and has exceeded close to or over a decade of lifetime. This man eats, breaths, and sleeps the Company. As far as he is concerned, the Company is his life.
