Harrison Jones was born in the small town of Ogunquit, Maine. As the only son to Jessica Jones, the owner of the Scott Hill Inn Bed and Breakfast. One of the largest inns in the village located away from the hustle and bussel of Main Street and the main beach. The Scott Hill Inn, has it's own private beach and pool and has been owned by Jessica for over twenty years. Everyone knows Jessica, and her boy Harrison. Like every small town, the rumor about Jessica was she got the Inn as a settlement in her divorce from her previous husband because he was caught cheating on her. That wasn't to far from the truth…in fact Jessica was the mistress for a very rich man; Harrison's father; who bought her the Inn way up in Maine to get her out of his life while supporting her and his son in secret for the rest of his days.
As a boy Harrison was a skinny, big headed, geek who tended to spend his time alone because he was not allowed to talk to the guests, and there were no children who lived on his road. It was a bunch of other bed and breakfast inns. Jessica loved her son, and made sure he got everything he ever wanted. The entire attic of the house was his play den which he loved as a boy. However, it secluded him and made it very awkward for him on his first day of school when he was 5 years old. Harisson went to school on his first day and got made fun of because of the way he talked. Harrison had a very high pitched voice even for a boy which like any kid gave them fire power to single him out. Now, Hop Brook School was one of the two schools in Ogunquit. The small town had a 1st-8th and then they had their small high school which had 9th-12th. When you are marked for a stereotype, your marked for life in that town. Harrison was marked as a loser geek who would be the butt of all jokes for the jocks.
Harrison did not like going to school and did not like being picked on by the other kids. His few years in school was very hard on Jessica having to meet with the other teachers trying to come up with a plan for him. However, that began to change the summer just before Harisson was suppose to go into the 4th grade. A pair of gay men had bought one of the large victorian houses on the corner of his street. These men had two sons…one the same age as Harrison and another a year old. The sons name were Scott and Brandon. Scott was a shy kid, and Brandon protected him. When the boys met Harrison, Brandon felt he had to protect Harrison as well. You see…they came from New York City. A city where if you don't get some "street cred" your nothing. This was the reason they moved to Maine, Brandon was getting into to many fights in school with the other boys. This was the answer to Harrison's prayers…his own personal body guard.
Scott, Brandon, and Harrison soon became known as the Three Muskateers. They were never apart, while Harrison knew the area, the brothers became his closest friends. They spent the entire summer getting to know one another, and when school came around they all watched out for each other. Brandon was one of the biggest boys in school that year and he protected his friends. They soon went from three to five becoming Brandon, Scott, Mark, Becca and Harrison. This group were as close knit as they come helping each other out when any of them needed it. Brandon had become the "leader" of the group soon becoming Mister Popular. Scott was the sensitive one…he loved to draw. Mark was the smart one. Becca was the talented one. While Harrison started to play sports. Brandon encouraged him to join the Junior football team with him. Life for Harrison was turning into the normal all American boy. That changed in the summer of his 11th birthday.
While riding his bike on his road, Scott was walking towards him in the distance. A driver lost control of his car and hit Scott head on and killed him right before Harrison's eyes. Harrison was devasted! The town had accidents before yet nothing of his nature. After the wake, Harrison went down to the beach and sit when Brandon had found him. Brandon made an oath to Harrison that he would allow nothing to happen to him. He was his brother now, and he was going to protect him. Harrison felt the same way for his "brother". This is how the boys coped with the loss of Scott. The next school year was hard for the group of friends. Becca moved away to Connecticut, while Mark went to a private school. Brandon and Harrison soon became best friends. They began playing football again, and hanging out with other people. Life slowly began to get back to normal for Harrison.
When Harrison was 13, Brandon had gone into his first year at the high school. This left Harrison in the 8th grade all by himself. This was a weird year for him because this was the year he hit puberty. While in the Spring of his 8th grade year his body started going through the normal changes a teenager goes through in this stage of his life. His face broke out, his voice changed and he grew hair in places he did not know before. This also meant he started getting feelings he had not had before and his interests started to change while he was discovering himself. Harrison was still playing football after school and becoming quite good at it. However, he started playing the guitar at home and singing. He starting liking music by Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Jamie Cullen, and more. This was not the typical music his friends were listening too. He decided to keep his love of music a secret because he did not want to be made fun of when he started his freshman year in high school.
Ah High School, that rocky bridge we all must cross into before the trails of adulthood. High School for Harrison was a rollercoaster. His freshman year was not as hard as he expected because he had Brandon. Brandon was playing on the football team and was making friends of his own. He was happy to have his brother back in the same school. Harrison had decided to try out for the football team. He got in with no issues, and even got to play a few times in his freshman year. The coach had said he was a little skinny still to play on the line but he had potential. No one really messed with Harrison because he was on the football team and the school LOVED their team like they were gods. It was not until the next year life for Harrison would really change.
When Harrison was 15 years old, he lost his mother. The doctors said she had passed away in her sleep from a heart attack. This shattered the boy into pieces and he felt lost and hopeless…and in many ways he was going to be until Brandon. Brandon had spoken to his fathers and asked Harrison if he wanted to come live with him and his fathers. Harrison did not want to leave his home town and decided that was the only thing he could do. It was hard at first getting use to the idea of having two adults in his life much less two fathers. Brandon's fathers were loving, caring, and understanding of the changes and gave Harrison all the time he needed to adjust. For legal purposes, Brandon's father's adopted Harrison. It was the hardest year of his life, and for a short while Harrison went on anti-depressants. However, a secret was revealed about the boy at his mother's funeral. Harrison broke out his guitar and sung for his mother. He was rather good by any standards, and brought tears to the majority of the town's eyes. No one made fun of him for his singing voice or his ability to play from that point on.
As his life began to slowly get back to normal, his mother's bed and breakfast was sold for over 250,000 dollars. This money was placed in a college fund for Harrison to have access too when he was 19 and had chosen a college. At the age of 16, Harrison got a job working as a junior lifeguard down at the main beach in the center of town. He liked being outdoors and staying active. When the beach had closed, he was playing football with Brandon and his other friends. He also joined the school jazz choir getting a number of solos for his ability to sing and play the guitar. He was starting to turn into a normal boy. That was quickly going to change at the end of his junior year in high school. In the year of 2006…the year the bomb went off…the year he saved Brandon's life…the year he learned he was more then different…he was evolved.
2006…a very rough year for Harrison. In July of 2006, Harrison was walking home with Brandon from a game. The pair were talking about their class rings. Harrison had gotten a titanium ring and could not stop playing with it when suddenly a car had come around the corner out of control. A drunk driver pummeled right for boys when Harrison threw himself in front of Brandon. He was not thinking when his body went hard, and Brandon was thrown to the side while the car wrapped itself around a telephone pole and Harrison. Brandon was in shock, and the driver could not help but stare at Harrison wrapped against the pole. He had turned to pure titanium from head to toe. Harrison was in shock himself and started to hit the car and it dented with each hit as he pushed the car away from himself. Harrison ran into the back yard of his house and by the time he had gotten there he was flesh and bone again. He slumped down and could not stop staring at his hands. Brandon had found Harrison who made him swear not to tell anyone. Brandon swore he would keep it a secret, and when the drunk driver tried to reveal what had happened to the police. The boys said he was lying.
In November of 2006, the bomb went off in New York City. It was very sad event and the world was effected. Harrison's High School did a huge fund raiser for the poor people of New York. Harrison had never been to the city much less left Maine. It was because of the bomb that sparked his interested in going to New York City in the future. It was also because of the bomb he lost control of his new found ability for a second time. Harrison was in his room when Brandon told him. Harrison was crushed by the news and from the emotional peak his body went hard again, and shifted to beautiful Titanium. Brandon slammed the door behind him, and just stared at Harrison. Harrison could not move as easily as he did, but got up and moved to look at himself in the mirror. His heart pounding as his looked upon his glittering body. He was a living statue of Titanium. When he heard his fathers call the boys down he got scared and his body shifted back instantly. It was from this point on Harrison knew he was different, yet he knew it freaked his brother out. However, his brother to this day has kept his secret!
As he began his senior year, Brandon was gone from the high school and Harrison had gained 30 pounds of muscle for football. He was now 6'1 and had 6 percent body fat. He was made the team captain and the QB. It was everything an all American boy dream to be: Mr Popular in his senior year. Yet no one expected what would happen next, Harrison quit the football team a week before the first game. While enjoying a run, Harrison was up near the diving cliffs outside of town. He wanted to try and make himself shifted. He forced himself to shifted putting a great deal of willpower into his shift. What he did not expect was when his body turned into Titanium that it gained a greater mass and the rocks shifted under him. As he fell down the cliffs, still in his Titanium form he was unharmed when he got to the bottom. He was thrilled to have such a gift, but suddenly became worried that in the rush of the game he could seriously harm someone or worse…shift in front of hundreds of people. So, he quit the team and decided to focus on his music.
As New York began a new, Harrison began to gain an understanding of why he might be different. In Febuary of 2007, it was revealed to the world that people were evolving. These people were different and some had abilities, some used for good and some used for bad. What had Harrison scared was the narrow minded views of the people in his town about the evolved which caused him to not reveal who he was or what he could do. He was scared of them yet curious at the same time. He had questions about their abilities and how they adjusted. He was oddly comforted by the fact others were going through what he was at the same time. He told his brother who had decided to attend college in Connecticut. He felt the same way I did, and told me not to tell a soul about what I could. He was scared they would try and cut me up into little pieces and sell. However, with the news of the evolved people in the world Harrison began to keep a close eye on it. As he continued his senior year in high school, he continued to focus on his music, trying to gain a better control over his ability, and learn about the evolved politics of the world.
Harrison graduated high school and was happy to be free of that place. Brandon was on vacation from college so the boys got permission to travel Europe for the summer. They backpacked their way across Europe and loved every minute of it. Harrison had grown into his looks and by was no means that nerdy little boy. He was a good looking man, who had a talent for singing and a guitar. Everyone loved him in Europe, and while at a party he caught the eye of this young couple named Maurice and Genave. Harrison lost his virginity AND had a threesome with a man and a woman exploring his sexuality in more ways then one. It was an eye opening trip, and just as confusing for him as he left if not more on his feelings for women…or men…or both. He finally came to the conclusion he was too young to worry about it and just wanted to have fun. Harrison returned home where he was unsure of what he wanted to do, and finally had come to the conclusion that he was going to move to New York City. He was going to try and break into the music business.
In 2008, Harrison moved to a very small studio apartment in Yonkers. He worked part time as a waiter, part time as a go go boy at night and in his free time he was trying to promote his music. It was not going well and Harrison was losing hope for his dream until a producer told him to attend music school. He needed formal training and this would give him the network and contacts to make it into the music world easier if he graduated from college. As he searched for various school, and auditions in New York City, Harrison was accepted to New York University in 2009 where he now attends full time. He has grown to love New York City and his music as he grows better and better at his craft. However the tides could be turning as the evolved world of politics grow and Harrison gets sucked into the rapid waters of change against his will. Only time will tell on what could happen…
Harisson has a complex personality that many never explore in its entirety. He is daunting and possessed of many layers. On the surface, many see gentle kindness and a soft-spoken, delicate young man. Certainly concern for others is something that shows through in his relations with them. He rarely raises his voice in conversation, unless it is necessary or unless something has deeply affected him. Similarly, he tries not to be unnecessarily confrontational, considering that it might be hurtful.
He is not deceptive, but he is not an open book, by any means. To most, he shows a disciplined, deeply focused individual, able to withstand whatever could be thrown at him. Even if others cannot be strong, his unique position forces him to do so. If allowed to become more familiar with him, his friends will find a perhaps surprisingly vulnerable man, one who must maintain his strength so that he of all people will believe in it. He would like to be cared for, but more important on his list of priorities is the protection of others, the caring for others so that they will be able to live fully.
Nonetheless, he is remarkably sensitive and can sympathise with others effortlessly. He knows when the time is right to show what is necessary, in order to win the trust of another or to show them that he is acting in good faith, or that they may reciprocate. He is very sensitive to the things that others will respond to, naturally, and tends to employ this empathy in his relations with others. Yet he carefully makes it so that most will not get too close to him, for their safety and his own. He often maintains himself as an outsider until or unless he can be persuaded otherwise.
It can be difficult to get him to volunteer information unless it is directly applicable to the situation at hand. Usually he is not a fan of filling a void with chatter, but he can discuss intelligent topics in depth. Meaningless chit-chat does not fit into his area of expertise, and it may contribute to others thinking that he might be awkward in certain situations. He can and does express himself freely, though, and that occurs not only through words, but through actions. When he meets someone to whom he can relate deeply or easily, he will express himself in his unique ways to them; to him, communication occurs on so many levels, and only one of those happens to be the verbal level.
Unlike everyday Titanium, Harrison's can become living titanium because he has the ability to mimicry titanium, however due to the every day biological make up of the human body there are trace amounts of iron, oxygen, calcium, magnesium and sulfur mixed into this metallic material. This makes the titanium that Harrison becomes have some unique traits. It is not like everyday titanium, however holds a great deal of the same traits. The strengthen the titanium Harrison makes has the ability to with stand blows up to 65,000 psi. While he can and does cover himself in metal, when Harrison transforms he is turning his entire body into living metal. He is changing his entire biological make up on an atomic level transforming him into this titanium being. The transformation can happen on two levels for Harrison. One, at will which tends to be slower and take up to a complete minute for the entire change to happen or two, instantly when his survival instincts kick in for his will to survive. In this form, Harrison is lustrous and retains mobility while being nigh invulnerable and able to support incredible amounts of weight, though it has never been tested. Harrison's titanium body has no need for water or food.
While in this form, Harrison is able to within stand a great deal of pressure; this means he can support a lot of weight. It probably also means he can lift a lot, although I would hesitate to say he can /throw/ a lot, this is due to the added weight of the titanium and the materials picked up. Harrison would be able to use his body to get under a car, and lift up to 2 tons due to the amount of pressure his body can with stand. Depending on the weight, Harrison would be able to maybe throw a human a few feet but it would be with very little impact due to his body not being able to gain a great deal of velocity. He would not be able to throw a car but he could walk with it and drop it somewhere. It would be at a very slow pace however. Harrison does not have Super Strength, yet in combination of his athletic nature and titanium body he is able to mimic what some might consider to be super strength. Like normal titanium, Harrison is capable of withstanding great impacts, large caliber bullets, falling from tremendous heights, temperature extremes of cold, and certain corrosive materials. However, unlike normal titanium he is also able to with stand extreme heat and electricity. In addition, this means he can deal a great deal of damage…to a degree. When he transforms into his titanium form, Harrison gains over twice his body weight going from 170 pounds of muscle to 400 pounds of walking metal. He is able to walk, bend, twist, swing, and climb at a much slower rate. However, he can not run, jump, or climb (for a long time) great heights because he grows tired and fatigued. When Harrison is able to land a hit, he is able to create a great impact three times more powerful then a normal human punch. If he is able to punch a two inch steel plate he would be able to break through it in 6-10 punches.
Harrison does have some flaws that come with this ability. First, his ability to move quietly is pretty much zero percent. Due to the massive bulk of the metal and the weight it creates his ability to move silently is 10-15 percent in the best conditions. Second, when he is in his titanium form he is vulnerable against magnetic attacks. This is a trait that is not like normal titanium. However, due to him being living titanium it changes some of the traits and makes him vulnerable, yet could be counter acted easily enough if Harrison turns himself back to flesh. Third, when he is in his titanium form, Harrison must focus a great deal of his willpower into the feat which lowers his immunity against psychic attacks of any nature. While not completely vulnerable to psychic attacks, Harrison is a very easy target against their abilities when in this form. Fourth, even though he has gotten a better control of his ability Harrison is not a master of controlling it. When he is under great deals of physical, emotional or mental stress his body will shift against his will. He has gotten a much better control over it and has mastered the ability to hold his titanium form for a maximum of 25 minutes, however if he forces himself to stay in his metal form for longer then that he begins to build up internal friction and his titanium body begins to degrade, flaking loose. Finally, any injuries Harrison does sustain in his titanium form will carry over into his flesh form and vice versa.
