Background

Risa Lynette is a Russian born American immigrant, who resided in Seattle Washington. In 2008, she began manifesting visions of the past unconsciously on individuals around her. Mental imagery and sound of random events. Risa's parents sought help for her, believing she was among the Evolved revealed to the world. Help came in the form of Homeland Security agents and registration. During registration, when it became clear that she had no control over her ability to force images of the past onto others, Risa was brought to a Homeland Security holding facility for study. While being transported, Risa's ability triggered on the vehicle's driver, causing him to lose his view of the world around him, and consequentially caused a fatal traffic collision.

Risa's ability was deemed too dangerous for the good of society, and she was quietly sent to the Moab Federal Penitentiary in early 2009. During the Moab raid, she along with many other Evolved were caught in the temporal distortion that displaced prisoners. She, along with a handful of others, awoke in West Virginia along with Norman White.

Norman would help ferry Risa and the other escapees to the No Man's Land of Staten Island, seeing himself as a shepherd of the Evolved, and Risa as a prophet. He has been struggling to get Risa to understand and control her ability, so he can utilize her to identify and track down Evolved who may be sympathetic to the plight of the Moab escapees under his wing.

Risa has the ability to uncontrollably pick up echoes of the past from people, objects and even places and suffer debilitating migraines while her ability manifests. Both the migraines and the visions of the past are forced onto those around her, currently she has absolutely no control over her power, but has been seen carrying powerful sedatives around.
