Sierra Heart was born in 1981, in upstate Massachusetts to Mandy and Vincent Heart. The Heart families were fine upstanding members of the upper crust who could trace their heritage back to Plymouth Rock itself. Paul and his younger sister Sierra grew up with everything handed to them. Their lives were planned from conception to the grave. They were both enrolled in a private secondary school before they spoke there first words. Sierra was 6 years younger then Paul and always overshadowed by her older brother.
She had to work even harder to obtain grades and even friends, not having the luxury of her father buying her out of trouble, all because she was born small, and born as a female. The young girl was always a bit on the short side and she was never as smart or as good looking as her brother. Sierra struggled with every breath to be just like him in her younger years and the dedication was never seen. She would follow him on his hunting trips and sit raptly at his knee listening to his stories. In school she was the nerd that the kids would pick on. After coming home with more then one black eye her mother insisted on enrolling her in self defense classes with a private tutor. She became a tough youth willing to take on challenges with zest, and she learned to roll with the punches.
Her brother was preparing for college just as she entered high school, and it was a very rough time. Dad had bought Paul a brand new car, and mother could only ever talk about how her son was going to be someone. The plans for Sierra were all but forgotten about as the family never really expected her to succeed. While her father dished out money for good clothes she got little to nothing else. Sierra focused her anger and despair over her life into her daily workouts, pushing herself harder and faster. She got in more fights at school, and only her fathers money kept her from being thrown out her Senior year. She had gone from nerd to bully in only a few years. Sierra was not even able to attend her senior prom because of the deal her father had made to keep her in school. Her father made such a big deal of Prom for Paul that Sierra was devastated. Sierra was blacklisted later on from the family upon her graduation because she had tangled with the wrong crowd.
Sierra however still loved her brother, in fact her love had festered into jealousy and she begun to obsess over him. Trying to gain face once again with her family Sierra set off to learn from her brother, but in secret. Sierra shadowed him when she could, never afraid to talk to his clients. When she found out about his Evolved status, not from her family but from the evening news, anger boiled up within her as she found something she could never match with effort alone.
he fled the USA trying to put as much distance between herself and her family as possible. Smuggling herself out of the country proved easier then expect. Sierra headed to Mexico, to find something she could make her own. In Mexico she began living off what money she had from her parents still. She treated it as a permanent party drinking and sun bathing and playing the tables. Unfortunately she quickly got in over her head, and beyond her funds. She was in debt with no way out and found herself backed in a corner with few options.
She found herself running guns for a Mexican crime ring, acting as a mule. Her perfect manners and high class upbringing came in handy, no one even suspected her. It was through this work that she made connections with some of the underbelly of society. And it was through them that she ran into a man named Kazimir.
She was recruited to the cause easily enough, her hatred of evolved made her a natural fit. Her knowledge of the east coast more broadly, made her a natural choice when Kazimir decided to expand his activities to that area. She found out he was looking for a handful of able-bodied people to come to New York. It was then when she met Kazimir, Amato, and Munin.
She embraced them as the family she never had first as the information gather, tracking down people who are Evolved, so that Kazimir can confront and execute them. Sierra's investigation skills became handy for the group. She grew in more then investigation within the few years she was with Kazimir's associates. They have a very small (5 to 10 men) operation in Mexico that is a part of his merry band of people who hunt and kill the Evolved.
Sierra heard that her brother had freed a evolved from some petty crime and she was once more enraged. He was supporting them! He was leading them, others like him? they were more important then she ever could be to him and she vowed that day to make a difference and gain the recognition she had lost in his shadows. She followed Kazmir's group here to New York to hunt more of them ? and to become stronger over them.
Sierra has come to hunt Paul or have him return to her where he should be. In the meantime she has embraced Kaz's group with all that she is.
