National Weather Service Bulletin
April 23, 2010
The National Weather Service has predicted a deep freeze throughout the northeast due to the unusual weather pattern that has dumped ten feet of snow across the east coast since February. Temperatures plummeting below zero are expected to cause numerous fatalities across the northeast, while predictions of sleet and freezing rain for the next two days will add a thick coating of ice to the already dangerously heavy snow. Expect further building collapses from untended structures. Avoid indoor locations that have not been cleared of snow and ice on the roof.
Road traffic over the next two days is likely to be severely impacted by the presence of the icy conditions. Forecasts to the end of the month predict temperatures dropping as low as -50 degrees Fahrenheit as the storm intensifies.
