A Big Dream
by Iris
Someday, she'd own this place. That is something Iris Earhardt tells herself regularly, with stars in her eyes as she flits about the library or her adjoined apartments. It wasn't the library she wanted to own - for this, it was her tenement building. Her dream had always been to fill an entire house, wall to wall with books. This would be the next best thing, wouldn't it?
How she would afford it when she could barely afford all the space she rents now didn't matter. Only the dream and her books did.
Even books deserve a good home, don't they?
