Would Colette get back in touch with Ygraine at all? She seems to have wholly severed contact with Yg in 2009 - and in the Bright Future, Ygraine leaves the US in the Summer and doesn't come back at all until 2011. Though Ygraine'll presumably still have no way of getting hold of Colette, the Briton'll become very high-profile when the Vanguard events emerge…

(Sticking a comment in here now that we've confirmed that Lis and Ygraine will have kept in touch.)

For Ygraine, the major connection would be felt to be personal - she met Lis while looking for Norton, and it was Lis who encouraged her to visit Trask while he was being put back together in hospital. Her respect for the pair emerged wholly separate to Phoenix, and the discovery that Trask was the never-met mystery-man Sergei will have come as a genuine surprise… though it will amply explain her intermittent difficulties in getting hold of Norton.

She'll have sought to be supportive to Elisabeth following the bombing, will have attended Norton's funeral if permitted to do so, and will have sought to remain in regular contact after moving back to the city for her to take up her role at the UN (and Jennifer to commence her Broadway career).

Pampering each others' offspring might well be on the cards - though Ygraine does tend to view "special treats" in a somewhat odd light. For her, a day of hectic physical activity is likely to be far more fun than going to the cinema or the like… but she'll be glad to have someone she respects accept her rather odd family without prejudice or judgement.

I am totally not sure where to post this, but here:

So, back when this all started, I gave Delilah a tavern as her business of choice. (see http://string-theory.wikidot.com/forum/t-137630/the-dancing-boar-tavern)

Once the initial shock of 'shit, there are dead people here' sets in, and there does come a need for an Honest To Goodness Meeting- I'd like to volunteer the Boar for that. It is a place frequented by that particular BF crowd- plus it can be closed for a 'private party' because Delilah does own it. Bonus points in that because that also means it is a safe place to meet, and nobody is going to go 'holy shit, you're dead!' and run out into the streets. And it's large, with lots of tables and benches and chairs, etc.

Congesting in someone's living room would probably be a mess, so I am volunteering The Dancing Boar(and practically begging for you guys to want to use it) for the imminent meeting about what to do with the travelers, and for if you guys just want to go ahead and use it for a place to scene little scenes while SoT is going on. So if it sounds like a good plan, anyone that knows of it can go ahead and bring it up in IC conversations somewhere along the way(to each other, and eventually, yes, to Delilah).

And if you do want to use it for a place to scene your folks, just try and NPC the place as what most people think of when you think of Brit Pubs or something. Lots of hardwood. Golden glow from lights. Booze. Filling food. Generally easygoing atmosphere. That's about it.

It looks as if Ygraine and Jennifer will be part of the "glitterati" scene of New York: they're well-off, well-known, and happy to attend charity fundraisers, premieres, and other red carpet events. Though each focuses upon their "real" career, they're quite willing to enjoy some of the benefits offered by a high profile - particularly where doing so assists the stage-going half of the couple.

For Ygraine herself, her serious work is almost entirely conducted behind the scenes at a desk, or in briefings given behind closed doors. As she sees it, a degree of flamboyance in her personal life has no effect upon the uncredited, secretive nature of her work at the UN.

So… contact with others who attend high-profile events might well be appropriate.

I'm not playing her, at least not in her future incarnation, but I figure I should provide the basic info.

Elle didn't last long after the Company went belly-up. She was on assignment in Europe when the mess all started, and though she did successfully lay low for a while by using a false name and pretending to be a lonely, innocent damsel in distress so as to be taken in by a sympathetic local, somebody eventually pieced it together and tipped off the authorities. She was taken by surprise inside her residence, and was tranquilized before she had the chance to try wreaking much havoc with her power.

For years now, she has been rotting in a maximum-security federal prison alongside other former Company agents (and her father!), serving life without parole for treason and multiple murders and all her other crimes over the years. Bright Future? Not for her.

Joseph was the last person to see Cardinal in the flesh, so to speak.

It was just a lark, go talk to the prophet, see his future. He did. He didn't like it, but immediately saw a way… or so he presumed… to prevent it. Flesh became shadow, and hasn't changed back since. Nor has he spoken of whatever he saw. Of course, the future has a way of sneaking up on you regardless of your attempts to change it!

Teo probably showed up to sit in the pews theatrically drunk and alone on the Christmas after the Columbia 14, much to the alarm of anybody who brought their kids by, and flirts with the temptation to get his fortune told (not exactly the same thing as flirting with Joseph himself— uh).

Sometimes Baxter visits the church with dad and Abby's kids.

I feel like, after several years under 'the Pinehearst regime,' Bolivar will be in a state to mumble irritably at Joseph and discreetly make donations which Kayla finds out about through roundabout means and is entertained by. He, too, is considering asking for A Vision.

I really doubt Deckard would want to be there for every service, but he'd probably suit up and go on important days or if he noticed Abby was down or something. Particularly if he winds up on decent terms with Joseph.

Odds are he'd sit in the back and spend the service trying to figure out who's having an affair with who and succumbing to the temptation of looking at people naked in a house of God, but he'd be there and he wouldn't complain about it after.

Consider Abby a prominent member of the church, volunteering in the background, ever present to service, and tending to the hurts of those in the congregation free of charge (if anyone presses, they're directed to donate to the church) If there's a sunday school, she's probably a teacher there with the little kids, so she can keep an eye on her two. Dunno whether Deckard joins her or not.

A little more present after her husband died, seeking solace in god, and understanding.

In the Bright Future, Pastor Joseph Sumter has done well for himself.

Reunited with his wife, and also his son (who turned out to be Evolved), it seems as though the prophecy he had given Claira was entirely averted. He's not sure how, but something must have gone right. A change in the world, ripples made, something.

He now is a co-founder of what is called the Guiding Light Foundation, a Christian charity organisation that helps give to the development of Evolved-centric schools and programmes overseas, as well as establish churches in America. It's by no means a powerhouse, more the little charity that could, but it's generally known as one of the first charities to focus on Evolved specifically for the last several years.

Joseph remains a pastor the Guiding Light Baptist Church in Greenwich, which has since expanded from the tiny congregation of 2009. He's a reasonably prominent figure within the Christian community of the east coast as well as his home state, and has given a handful of lectures here and there in universities about religious+Evolved issues.

People who know his name will also generally know his ability - he's paid shamelessly well for his prophecies and counseling, even though he doesn't technically ask for money and generally provides this service for free to his congregation.

And so forth and so forth~. Shiny future is shiny.

Cardinal's been working with Matt's PI agency, though probably not openly. No congressional medal of honor or span of pardons for him - even if they were offered, he's unrepentent - he's still keeping to the shadows, involved with the underworld and quite probably the Zarek Group, though he became more of an information dealer than a thief. Still, he have helped out and worked with Parkman 'under the table' bringing him information and giving him backup now and again.

Eventually, he just vanished one day. A few people may've seen him since, but only as a shadow, and he's refused to discuss personal things. Maybe he found out something too terrible to deal with. Maybe he took an injury that'd kill him if he changed back, and he's too proud to ask for help. Or maybe his power just evolved to the point that he -couldn't- become flesh and blood anymore.

These days, the only person that sees him regularly is Logan. And he doesn't even know it.
