Background

Eve Mas is a mystery to many who know her in the Flood Timeline. It is known that her parents Valerie and Eric Mas were above board government agents of some kind but Eve never really knew to many of the details growing up. Mas Mechanics was still opened after they retired from the agent life. Manifesting in her teens, Eve soon spun out of control driven by her visions and many sleepless nights. In and out of insane asylums since just before the Bomb and after that day she never saw her parents again. It took an escape from them in the year 2010 and living on the streets for Eve to gain her freedom and to begin the journey to the Meddler that you see today. She busked on the street and "read palms" offering predictions to tourists and locals alike. Running through shelters and holing up in drug houses she eventually began to sing in dive bars and earned enough money to get her own studio apartment. Things were looking up until a dream that she had before of a flooded world began to consume her again. She knew that something else was coming.

And so she disappeared. Nobody saw her for months and after the dreaded Flood washed over the world, the pale crazy woman sailed in on a yacht named the Forthright, armed and ready to fight off the Vanguard but she was.. changed. Older. Twenty-Thirty something odd years added onto her life. Eve never talks about what she refers to as her "Reckoning". That was an effort that was foolish in the end. A lot of people died, "Specials" were out in the open and Eve had found friends, the prospect of finding more of them then before without even the help of her ability but just witnessing them out in the open it was oddly beautiful in her eyes.

Mad Eve as she is now known around the community is a woman off her rocker, a trickster and meddler that always seems to be where she shouldn't or sometimes right where she should. Supply gathering and general runs are among the duties of the Forthright but everyone knows if you have a unique request then Eve's ship is the one to find or if you want your fortune read. She and the crew aren't always the most nice or the most mean just somewhere lukewarm in the middle she likes to say. Due to a saving of Marlowe's ass, The Forthright has gained a few enhancements to help them at sea and to fend off the people Eve pisses off. With Monica as First Mate, what could go wrong?

Eve is as she always is, a women driven by an insufferable curiosity and willpower to do as she wants and to do as is necessary. A true embodiment of chaos and the strange. She is a listener of the "echos" as she calls them and with the advancement of her age learning to ask for help more often which is proving to be difficult for the woman.

Eve still dreams possible futures and feels the compulsion to paint them upon waking. She is able also to induce visions which she must enter a trance/meditative state to do so. She has been inducing visions to make a living for a few years now.
