Background

Namiko was born into a weathy family in New York City and started with an easy life. She had her rebellious stage, using her parent's money to fund it. She was at a party she shouldn't have been at when the floods came, and she and the others were able to stay alive in the top floors of the skyscraper they were partying in. Her parents were not so lucky and died trapped in their home. She should have been there, too. When the waters settled and people starting figuring out how to live in this new world, she dropped her birth name and started calling herself Namiko. She ran a small radio station where she cycled through a sizeable MP3 collection and also helped relay information and SOSes.

Namiko has the power to grow plants at an accelerated rate, as well as bringing them back from the brink of death (so long as the roots are in tact). Her power amplifies a plant's natural processes and characteristics. As such, they will grow bigger, better, stronger, healthier, and more potent under her care. They are more invasive, too, regardless if they are by nature. She can maintain them in any environment, no matter where it was meant to grow. The plants are created with the sacrifice of her own energy, but once they exist, they will grow as normal if left alone. She can create any plant type that she has come into contact with, which is limited at the moment, but she has the potential to learn.
She cannot 'control' her plants, as in making them move on command or attack people, but she can control how they grow and where. Her topiary is the booomb. What she can do is increase the potency of any defense the plant would have naturally. Bigger thorns, deadlier toxins, etc. She can make a plan release poisons, toxins or secretions on command, but cannot do more than make them exist.
