Background

Tania was initially raised in Russia with her family, including a brother she loved more dearly than any of them. She also grew up with a condition that made her like static and bland aside from when her condition would send her to the hospital. It was a lonely childhood, as she wasn't allowed— or able— to go out with other children. She didn't even go to school with them.
She didn't learn that her brother was a member of the Vanguard until her teen years, but she followed in his footsteps as soon as she could. Less because she was a true believer and more because, with her mother and father dead, she only had her brother in all the world. He did what he could to protect her from the more violent aspects of the organization, and any time she was ordered to do something harrowing, he would secretly do it for her. She gained a reputation that was similar to Sasha's among them, despite the fact that she never did as much as fire a gun. When she was used as decoration, it was because of her mix of youth, looks and assumed ruthlessness.
After the flood, she stayed with Sasha, joining up with the Ruskins and Logan (And Iago, although she does her best not to have to speak to him much on account of him being terrifying) to help run their… post-flood business endeavors.

Ironically, now that she isn't really being given orders to be, Tania's own ruthlessness has started to show. Hers is a cold vengeance, showing only in the most extreme situations. Most of the time she's pleasant and charming to those around her— and fiercely loyal to her family.
