At around 11:15 PM, several shots were reported fired on the fourth floor of the Dorchester Towers apartment building in the Upper West Side. Minutes after the first shot was called in, a vicious fire was ignited via an unknown incendiary device in the same residence. It spread quickly down and through neighboring apartments, but timely intervention by the FDNY has ensured that the vast majority of the building's structure remained intact and relatively unharmed.
No names have been officially released in connection with the attack, but the name 'Tracy Strauss' will have likely been dropped by a resentful neighbor or two by the time the morning news rolls around, leading to speculation that the attack might have been connected to her voluntary registration as a Tier-II evolved this past Saturday (see 8/39.)
