It's the biweekly brainstorming thread for 03/11/19 - 03/25/19!

• Is there something you want to do with your character(s) that you need help with from other players or staff? Pitch it here!
• Interested in running something for other people? Ditto.
• Struggling with long-term character arcs or purpose? Other players might be able to help you out.
• Is there a plot or a conflict you want to get involved in and don't know how? We can probably crowdsource a solution.

Some ideas bounced around +pub tonight:

• More activity at the Crucible. Lucille is looking for challengers in the ring, but there's also the opportunity for people to just go and hang out and socialize while watching fights.
• More low-key Pure Earth activity. There are still people who are unhappy about how the Civil War went down, and most of them are located outside the Safe Zone. The probability of running into such individuals who never stopped fighting the war exponentially increases the further away from the Safe Zone you get. I will be running some Providence-related things in this vein, but if you have ideas and want to GM something for other people, toss us a +job and we'll try to get it approved. Emphasis on low key and scrappy. We don't want to duplicate the dynamic from the last go round. If people want to get targeted by individuals re: personal vendettas due to wartime activities specifically, that would be an example of something that would work. Someone going after someone else simply bc they're Evolved, not so much.
• More activity in social hubs in general. Got an idea for a spot to put down on the grid? Shoot Ellis an @desc and I'll drop it in.
• Chris is finally arriving in Providence from back East. Someone should welcome him to the community. We should also be seeking ways to get Max more involved with the day-to-day operations near and around the factory so he can be involved more. Perhaps he goes on a scavenging run with someone? Looking for GMs here as well.

Weasel arrived in Providence on the 5th to trade and explore the area. She was intending on leaving about the 12th, but might actually be staying a little bit longer because Max is nice and welcoming and Prov is, at least thus far, turning out to be her kind of place. She'll be around seeing if she can help out with anything at all — with special offers of removing raccoons, and if anyone needs detailed rat extermination (so long as there are no ELECTRIC ones), she will help with that.

She might stay an extra week or two unless she gets booted out of town.

This one isn't me exactly, but seeing some sceneage out in Rochester for Shedda folks to get their feet wet RPing together would be rad … Speaking of places to gather, is there an IC watering hole out there they could use for that? Maybe even run into some neighbors? ;)

Hilariously enough, Wolfhound's base of operations is across a bridge from a brewery/pub sorta deal. I imagine a place like that can attract all types. Maybe they have bands or something too, haha.

Yeah I dig this. There's not really much content in Rochester yet, compared to a place like Providence— totally down for social hub action.

Nikola, Spencer and I started a scene — I had Remi conveniently taking a day trip up there around the 4th to Rochester to talk about buying a boat for the theater that her and Silas and Doyle are working on. If any Rochester peeps want to back scene, let me know!

• Magnes needs a positive lowkey story arc. Like even if it's just an arc with one other person. I just want him to like, have some positive personal change in life that isn't, like, a superficial thing like a job or whatever. I'm just not sure what. Maybe he just makes a deep personal connection and goes on an adventure, I don't know.
• Also I need a Magnes + Eileen scene. I already have a set in mind.
• I need to GM a Shalegate haunted house scene. But I haven't figured out the hook to get people to go there yet, other than urban legendy ideas. Like people getting killed going in there during the war due to it being a death trap of crazy bullshit. So it's known for people going in and not coming out.
• I still want to run one-off investigation scenes with Rasheed, I just need the energy to plan them.
• We need to utilize hangouts more so that people can ICly organically meet a bit. But also establish some casual friend groups like in the old days, especially given all the new characters. We were never purely factional, and I think that's something we lost a bit.

Magnes and Isis met once upon a time. They were juts two nice nerds that happened to be neighbors. If that is the kind of casual, good, lowkey story arc you are looking for, I'd be happy to oblige. I'm not sure how they will connect now-a-days, but it never hurts to throw 'em at the wall and see what sticks, if you are interested.

• I still want to find Delilah a second IC part-time job; ideas that were around were something teachy or counselly at the school, or administrative/clerical work somewhere like Raytech, SESA/NYPD. I'd be interested in talking about something with someone! I just want it to seem natural and less like nepotism, lol.
• On another Delilah note, I'd love to get more scenes with the old gang now that Magnes is back.
• She also has an interest in what happened to WF-Walter, given the givens; if anyone might want to start something on that, I'd love to sniff around.
• Huruma used to be a part of Shedda Dinu- - or at least the first test run of it. That and her other connections (Wolfhound, Adam, etc) might be a good way to start trickling some Shedda scenes in? There's Curtis/Ash as well, I believe?
• Megan I want you for a Hooms, and I def want to meet lil Aura :p
• She's open for SESA consultancy on the Monroe case. ;)

There will be job openings at the showboat theater somewhere down the line. I'm sure Remi/Silas/Doyle could use any help they can get, they have about three months of construction and work to do!

• So, in terms of general social hubs: Providence could use one. Aside from the church, I mean. I'm thinking a bar in town people can go congregate in.
• The list of Providence folks Yi-Min needs scenes with grows! Militia she needs to meet: Chris, Byron, Iago, Hector, Lang, as well as the townsfolk themselves.
• Liz, I'd love to snag you for that Geneva-Brynn scene sometime. My brain has not been worky gud with Gene recently but this is something I owe, as I remember.
• More Shedda scenes so I can get Spencer some action, though I think this is something that might just be on hold generally until Manny comes back? (which is totally cool)
