Volume III: Horizons will begin following a (likely) 6-month IC time skip. Given projections of when Volume II scenes will end, we will be picking up ICly in August of 2020, even though we will likely only still be in July. This is to give us some buffer time to play with before we move back to a real-time tracking of days and months.
As a part of that you will be able to do a "soft reset" of your character during these six months of downtime. Are you unsatisfied with what faction your character is in? Where they are living? Want to mix things up? This will be an opportunity for you to do a little gentle reinvention of your character by injecting some off-camera change into their lives. This time-skip period will be handled via optional flashback scenes similar to the 2012-2016 time-skip we did between Book I and Book II.
Staff will provide you with guidelines for this timeskip and you will need to make a +request for your timeskip in the form of roughly a paragraph description of what you'd like your character to be doing and how you'd like them to be doing it. Please note that our factions in Volume III will also be changing as follows:
- Shedda-Dinu will be retired as an active faction, replaced by Asar-Dinu (judge's all-seeing eye), a new sect of the organization. Surviving Shedda-Dinu characters will be given the opportunity to slide into roles within Asar-Dinu at your option. More information on Asar-Dinu will be provided soon.
- Wolfhound will be moving their headquarters from Rochester NY to the Safe Zone in light of the city's expansion. Wolfhound will also be restructuring internally, moving away as the group goes through many changes.
- The Deveaux Society becomes a primary PC-led faction.
- The Safe Zone Cooperative is retired as a faction and moved into the "other orgs" category.
- The D'Sarthe Group moves into a primary faction role as the chief criminal enterprise in the Safe Zone.
Factions not listed won't be undergoing any major changes.
More information will be provided here in the coming weeks!
