So here's where I'm at for my primary characters in the timeskip. My characters have always been fairly reactive in the past, so in the new Book I'm looking to have them become more proactive, even they aren't initially at that point.
Robyn Quinn (Age 33)
Robyn Quinn's current plan immediately after the fall of Pollepel is to sever her ties and flee across the Canadian border into Quebec (aka Discount France), since she won't likely be able to fly out of the country with the chaos that ensues across the US. She'll integrate into the French-Canadian population there, finding cheap work wherever she can and generally intending to leave behind the life she had in New York. For a few years, her paranoia over the possibility of someone - government or former Ferry - coming for her will drive her to continue practicing shooting and physical training, as well as push her to learn how to cope with her new vision handicap in relation to these skills, before this all settles into just being her routine. She lives an otherwise low key life and is no longer recording music, though she rarely plays at local bars and coffee houses and is still in possession of the ten songs Else Kjelstrom left behind after her death. Though she initially has no plans to return to the states, one thing or another will force her to - either a hook provided by a story or a character, or the death of her mother if a good opportunity doesn't otherwise present itself.
Barbara Zimmerman (Age 43)
Barbara Zimmerman's fate is in a much bigger state of flux. Most likely following the fall of Pollepel and the undoing of the Ferry, she will take leave of New York with Niki (pending Niki-player's plans) and try to live something resembling a normal life in Vegas with her. The two of them will probably be inexorably tied together during their course of the timeskip as they both try to move on from the trials they have face, and Barbara will do so in whatever small ways she can manage. She will keep contact with others, however, and occasionally makes trips away from home to meet with or help provide advice to friends. She will find her way back to New York as needed, most likely serving as council for those who continue their work and their fights.
Hannah Emerson (Age 35)
Hannah Emerson will be- well, I'm waiting until after 5YG finish to really decide, but there is a good chance that following the events of 5YG, the death of the person who had become a mentor figure for her (Elisabeth Harrison), and Civil War II: Electric Boogaloo, she will retire from military service and fade into the background.
Iris Earhart (Age 28)
Iris Earhart (pronounced EAR-ihs, not EYE-ris) is my current name for the new evolved alt I am considering for Volume I. At the moment PB'd by Jenna Coleman, she is a librarian at the Brooklyn College Library. Though times are hard, she finds joy in helping those around her, as well as reading the books in the library as a means of escapism. She possesses a high level of positivity and enthusiasm even despite the trying times around her. She possess an ability to manipulate paper similar to the one held by Darien Kinnison, and though she prefers to keep to herself about it, occasionally she uses this ability to help bring a bit of joy into her life or the lives of others, in particularly using formed or minorly animated paper to help tell stories she's read in books. She will likely be active in The Safe Zone Cooperative.
If building timeskip connections or hooks in either way for your characters with any of them is something that interests you, throw me a line.
