Jennifer Childs Found

Coventry, RI — Investigators said Saturday that DNA testing "positively identified" partial human remains found in Coventry, RI last week as those of missing 21-year-old Jennifer Childs.

The remains were found on a pig farm in Rhode Island, and sent to the FBI lab in New York City.

Capt. Derik Price of the local Coventry sheriff's department in Rhode Island confirmed that the lab made the identification.

"Out of respect for the Childs family, and to maintain the integrity of our investigation, there will be no further comment regarding these results," Price said in a press release from the group of agencies investigating the case — led by the Coventry sheriff's department, the FBI and New York state police. Price went on to add that while there are still no official suspects in the Childs sisters' disappearance, they are treating the owner of the pig farm — Calvin Cavitt, 58 — as a person of interest.

Jennifer and her 23-year-old sister, Gillian, were reported missing November 7.
