Old fashioned streetlamps dot the sidewalks of the blocks that claim the title of Art District. Small theatres boast plays through posters and marques, each claiming the best cast, best script, best director, best everything. Along with them are galleries, themed to artistic medium and far from limited to paintings. The galleries host upscale viewing and auctions regularly and seem to have settled into an official, but agreeable schedule of which is showing when. It's a region of push and pull, give and take, as dramatic as the offerings they present. Surrounding the galleries and theatres are venues with musicians and poets, drinks and dance floors. The streets may slumber during daylight hours, but stir to a quick wakefulness once the sun sets.
