NYPD Detective Shot Twice In Greenwich

GREENWICH VILLAGE, MANHATTAN — A police detective was transported to hospital last night around 8pm while investigating a disturbance at a drinking establishment in Greenwich Village. The body of an African male was recovered a block north of the establishment by police shortly after Det. Shelby was transported to Bellevue Hospital Center. Police are working under the theory that the two attacks were committed by the same individual.
