NYPD Officer Gunned Down

ROOSEVELT ISLAND — At 3:13am off-duty NYPD officer Oliver Wilson radioed in shots fired in the vicinity of the F-Line at Roosevelt Island Station. By the time officers arrived on scene, Wilson was found with life-threatening injuries at the Long Island City station. Further investigation revealed a gunfight had taken place on the F-Line subway train, starting at the Roosevelt Island station, where James Forrester (20) was found critically wounded and was rushed to St.Luke's hospital where he is currently listed in stable condition. Most disturbingly, a minor under the age of 10 was discovered dead at the scene of the crime as well.

Police are reviewing the security camera footage found at the scene, but hope that anyone with information regarding the subway shooting will come forth to aid in the investigation.
