Synopsis | Roselyn, Nicolas and Felix go to the bar for some after work relaxing. |
Date | January 22, 2009 |
Old Lucy's has a vibrant and lively feel to it, from the dark wooden floors to the shady crimson walls lit up by neon lights and many times, the flashing of cameras from the oft-crowded floor. The mirror behind the bar reflects prices of various drinks, bottles lined up, as well as the entire saloon as seen from the bartenders; bolted-down stools line the other side, and there are loose tables and chairs placed all around, though many times they find themselves pushed back for more space within the center of the saloon. A few speakers are placed at strategic places and around a raised stage to the far corner from the bar. Above the counter, an obviously well-used bar is hung; it is this that the girls working will use should there be dancing, which is one reason many patrons choose to come aside from the drinks. Across the bar and near the back, there is a door that leads to the owner's office and just inside a stairwell that leads a apartment on the floor above the bar.
Nicolas sits at the bar, a bottle of beer in front of him as he looks up and down the bar for a moment, taking a long drink from the bottle in his hand. He watches the bartenders work as he takes another drink from his beer.
Roselyn walks into the bar and walks towards the bar. She takes a seat on the stool and waves down a bartender, "Could I get a shot of Goldschlagger, an Irish Car Bomb, and a Screwdriver please?" she asks the bartender. Looking up and down the bar to see if she sees anyone familiar.
Nicolas glances up as he hears Roselyn's voice, offering her a smirk. "Hey hon." He says to her, offering her a wave and a raise of his beer before he takes a pull from the bottle, before he sets it on the bar top.
Roselyn smiles and turns when she hears Nicolas' voice, "Hey!" she gets off of her barstool and walks over to sit next to Nicolas, "How are you doin?" she asks with a smile on her face. She waves at the bartender letting her know that she moved on down next Nicolas.
And there's Fel. It's after work, so his tie is off, and the collar of his shirt opened, but he's still in his suit, as he heads wearily for the bar. "Vodka, neat," is all he asks for, voice a little hoarse.
Nicolas smirks as he looks to Roselyn, nodding his head slightly. "Doing good, actually. How about you?" He asks her as Felix comes in. He looks the man over for a moment as he sits down, offering a nod in greeting if he should happen to make eye contact.
Roselyn smiles, "I'm really good as well. Off tonight, but figured I'd come in and drink a little." she says looking at Nicolas. "So can I buy you a drink?" she asks Nicolas with a grin.
Felix does meet Nicolas' gaze, and offers a polite nod, though his face gives little away. But he slumps as he takes his seat, giving a slow sigh.
Nicolas looks back to Roselyn and smiles. "Sure. How about another beer?" He asks as he drains the last of his beer, setting the empty bottle down. As he hears Felix's sigh, he looks back to the man. "Long day?"
Roselyn smiles and nods, "Souds good." when her drinks arrive she orders another bottle of beer for Nicolas. She picks up her shot of Goldschlagger and downs it, "So how is everything going for you?" she asks Nicolas with a grin. "Hope everything has been good for you."she says still grinning.
"Yeah," Felix says, but he smiles as he does, a little sheepishly. He knocks back the vodka he's given, and lifts a hand for another.
Nicolas nods his head as he looks between Roselyn and Felix then looks to the bartender, smirking slightly. "How about a round for everyone." He says as he motions towards Roselyn and Felix. "Just put it on my tab."
Roselyn smiles and looks at Nicolas, "Thank you hun. I wouldn't mind taking care of it." she says still smiling. "Are you sure you don't want me to?" she says looking at Nicolas.
Felix looks over, but hardly objects to that generosity. "Nice of you," he says, simply, giving Nicolas a curious looking over.
Nicolas nods his head as he looks to Felix. "No problem." He says before he looks to Roselyn and nods. "Yeah. I'm sure. You get the next round." He says with a smile as the drinks are delivered.
Roselyn smiles and nods, "Alright hun. Sounds good to me." she picks up her shot and gets ready to drop her shot it into her pint of Guinness, "Bottoms up." she says to Nicolas then drops it in. As soon as she drops it into it she starts to chug. Faster than before because she's been practicing. "That's a damn good drink." she says looking at Nicolas.
Another vodka for Fel, which he knocks back. Not a lot of savoring for the sake of the taste, with that stuff.
Nicolas gets himself another beer and takes a drink from it before he looks back to Roselyn. "Enjoy." He says to the both of them before he takes a long pull from the bottle of beer in his hand.
Roselyn smiles and takes a drink of her Screwdriver. "So..When do you want me to take you out to dinner. I mean I do owe it to you." she says with a grin. "I'm free anytime you need, or whenever you are free." she says giving him a wink.
Felix eyes Nicolas thoughtfully. "You must not be suffering financially if you're buying drinks for strangers. What is it that you do for a living?"
Nicolas looks to Roselyn and shrugs. "I don't know. How about this weekend?" He says with a chuckle before he looks to Felix as he asks his question. He takes a drink from his beer before answering the man. "I test the security of corporate networks to see how well they hold up against hackers."
Roselyn nods, "That's perfect. So it's a date then." she says with a smile, "Just let me know what time is best for you and what day." she says looking at Nicolas. "Should be pretty fun." she says to Nicolas giving him a wink. She picks up her Screwdriver and takes a pretty good drink from it.
Felix chuckles at that. "Wish I'd had both the skills and the prescience to go into computers," he notes, before asking for a beer this time.
Nicolas smiles to Roselyn and nods. "Yup. I'm free all weekend, so anytime is good. Just let me know when is good for you." He says to her before he looks to Felix, chuckling. "It's not that hard, really. Kids, now-a-days, can do it." He says with a smirk before he takes a drink from the bottle. "What is it you do?"
Roselyn smiles, "How about Friday night. around 8pm?" she asks still smiling looking at Nicolas more. She picks up her Screwdriver and chugs what is left of it. She looks at the bartender "Can I get some more of these three please?" she asks looking at the bartender.
"FBI," Felix says, amused. "And maybe it doesn't seem that hard to you. Hard enough for me."
Nicolas's eyes widen slightly as he looks at Felix as he says he's in the FBI. "Wow. I didn't think I would ever run into one of you guys again. Once was enough for me." He says with a chuckle before he takes another drink from his beer.
Nicolas's eyes widen slightly as he looks at Felix as he says he's in the FBI. "Wow. I didn't think I would ever run into one of you guys again. Once was enough for me." He says with a chuckle before he takes another drink from his beer, then looks to Roselyn and nods. "Yeah. 8 pm sounds good. I'll see you then."
Roselyn smiles and nods, "Okay, I'll dress nice. That way you can see what I look like decent." she says with a grin. "Well I think I better get going. It's getting pretty late. I'll talk to you soon." she says with a smile. "It was really good seeing you." she says as she stands up and slides her jacket on. She kisses Nicolas on the cheek, "Bye hun."
Felix slants a look at Nicolas, only mildly curious. "One of you guys again? You've worked with the Bureau before? Or did we arrest you?"
Nicolas nods to Roselyn and nods. "I will too." He says as he nods to her. "Okay. I'll talk to you later. Bye hon." He says to Roselyn before he looks back to Felix, chuckling softly. "You guys arrested me back in 2003 for hackin' your mainframe."
Roselyn smiles and walks towards the exit, she looks back and waves to Nicolas before she leaves the bar.
Roselyn has left.
Felix can't help but smirk. "Did you do any time for it?" he wonders, lazily.
Nicolas nods his head as he takes a drink from his beer. "Yes I did. And a shitload of probation as well." He says as he looks to Felix. "You're not here to arrest me again for something I don't know about are you?"
"We don't drink on duty," Fel says, quietly. "Are you up to the sorts of things that generally get you arrested?"
Nicolas nods and smirks. "Good point." He says, setting his drink on the bar top. "Nope, but you never know. Might've been framed for something. You never know who is out there trying to get you for God-knows-what."
Felix eyes him over the rim of the beer glass. "I can't imagine that level of paranoia. I promise, we have more than enough to do with people doing real, actual bad things that we don't need to make shit up."
Nicolas nods his head and smirks. "Good to know." He says as he looks to the man for a moment before he extends a hand towards him. "I'm Nicolas."
"Felix Ivanov," Fel says, lazily, taking Nic's hand in his and shaking it firmly. "Pleased to meet you."
Nicolas nods his head as he shakes the mans hand. "Nice to meet you too." He says before he releases the man's hand. "I hate to introduce and then run, but I gotta get up early in the morning." He says, draining the last of his beer and sets the beer bottle on the bar top, looking to the bartender. "Put his next couple drinks on my tab." He says to the 'tender before he looks back to Felix. "I hope to catch ya around. Maybe talk about gettin' ya to learn how to use a computer or something."
"I can use them. Barely," Fel says, apparently compelled to honesty. "But thanks for the drink."
Nicolas nods his head as he stands, putting his jacket back on. "Well, if you ever want to learn more about 'em, then look me up." He says before he offers the man one more wave. "I'll see you around." And with that, he heads to the door.
