Scene Title Passing On The Message
Synopsis Kaylee lets Adam know that Brian wants a meeting.
Date July 29, 2009

Biddy Flannigan's Irish Pub

Ambient lighting blankets the establishment in a soft luminescence, glowing in tones of appealing orange from the front face of the bar and low hanging light fixtures overhead. Old style brick walls given the pub an appealing depth, reflecting the tone of lights in a more amber hue down upon the lengths of the polished, wooden floors. The bar counter of lacquered dark wood stretches along the northern wall, the forefront for shelves of numerous liquors and the substantially sized LCD televisions spaced liberally behind it. The screens flicker with the latest games and news as the labeled spirit bottles wink from lighted shelves with a beckon of their own. Barstools and high tables welcome tipsy patrons to their support, scattered with throughout the barroom with a few wedge into the darker, quieter, and more secretive recesses. Over the bar are a few banners of sports teams, most notably one of English football club Manchester United.

The thick wooden door to the west is fitted with a single neon sign sponsored by one of the brews on tap, glowing in the door's center window to shed its light onto the sidewalk outside and summoning in new customers when the bar is open for business.

Adam ended up, along with Michael and one other man, picking up Kaylee from Old Lucy's. They didn't talk much in the car. Everyone was driven to Biddy's for a briefing session and once inside, Adam says, "So what was that all about?"

Still dressed in her outfit from Old Lucy's, backless vest and all, Kaylee drops into a seat next to Adam. She leans forward to rest an elbow on the table as she shakes her head and comes right out with it, "That guy you had me listen to the other day.. He wants a meeting." Her other hand moves to rub her forehead. "I dunno how he found me.. Or how he found out my damn name.. Or even the fact of what I can do." She sounds a bit nervous and shaken up now that the whole thing is over and she on safer ground. "I swear to god, Adam, I was careful that day."

Adam frowns a bit and leans back thoughtfully, "And what is it he said?" he questions.

Combing blond hair back from her face, Kaylee frowns a bit in thought trying to think back on what happened. "He came claiming he's never been there.. But he had, I got that much. He acted like he didn't know me, but he did." She takes a deep breath, "Asked me when I get off, and I told him I had a guy… Then he then came right out and asked about you." She gives him a significant look, she had seen in Brian's head that he recognized the immortal man that day Adam took her out for food. "He started grilling me about what you wanted. I told him straight up that I have no idea what you want with him and to talk to you himself." She gives him an apologetic look. "So he wants a meeting."

She shifts a bit uncomfortably, "I have no idea how he knew what I could do. But he sure let me know he knew. I didn't respond to any of it really." Her bottom lip catches in her teeth before she offers, "I'm sorry Adam. I keep screwing up somehow."

Adam frowns a moment at the thought of it. He sits back carefully and looks thoughtful for a moment. He steeples his fingertips gently a bit and presses the apex of his middle fingers to his lips. Finally, he says, "Alright.." he says with a frown. He reaches over and pats Kaylee's hands. "It'll be alright. We'll have this figured out. We'll decide how best to handle it." He shakes his head, "I'll have to run into this person sooner or later and straighten this matter out."

Shoulders slump in relief as he pats her hand, Kaylee was so very certain he was going to be mad at her. Taking a moment to calm the nervous flutter in her stomach, she studies her boss for a moment. "So that is a yes on the meeting?" Kaylee ask with a little tilt of her head and an arch of her brow. "I've got two weeks before I'm out of that job. I didn't like being approached in a place where Michael or the guys are not there to watch my back" Normally, all smiles she sounds dead serious in that moment. "He said he'll be checking up on me, so I imagine I can pass on the message in those two weeks."

Adam hmms, "We'll see." he says, "We'll just have to figure out where it appears that he'll be. " he shakes his head, "That's enough speculation for now. I'll have Joseph and Brian watch you at Old Lucy's while you're there."

A single firm nod from Kaylee and she moves to stand. "Alright, sounds good. Thank you, Adam." She leans down to give him a chaste little peck on the cheek, like a daughter would give her dad. "And thanks for the back up. Now.." She straightens and looks rather tired. "I am going home. Have a good evening, Adam… Michael." The last getting a flirty smile and a wink before she moves to leave.
