The week of May 25th, an article was published in several medical and scientific journals; how such a controversial piece got past the printing stage is a miracle, but the article itself is quickly snowballing into the news, and a bigger stage for the article and its author is yet to come.

Pinpointing Evolution
The Presence of Ability; and The Inevitable End of Homo Sapiens Sapiens
Since the dawn of civilization, man has had his mind filled with metaphysics and his imagination grabbed away by fringe science; in the present day and age, we are faced with the fruits of science fiction. The "Evolved", men and women endowed and empowered with abilities such as telekinesis, telepathy, super strength, and naturally explosive radioactivity are now a pillar of our everyday, and have influenced our lives forever. What was once purely stories of fiction and hypotheses of the human brain are now what many of us see as the next step in human evolution; as the brain in a normal man uses only part of its power, the capacity of these evolved minds are likely to be recorded in history as the first step into using these lost nether regions. Mankind has always been evolving, and until very recently, the hidden genes that connect the lost parts of the mind have been kept secret. It is quite possible that many of modern man's greatest triumphs and heroes therein may have taken part in this evolutionary growth. Where does the normal man turn, now that the dawn of a new man, Homo Maximus, has made itself apparent?
The answer is quite simply, nowhere. There is nothing mankind can do to curb the increasing numbers of Homo Maximus, for all of us are carriers of evolutionary bargaining chips. Some are empowered with an ability on behalf of this, while in some these carriers lie dormant, waiting to be either passed on, or quite possibly triggered by therapy. Gene therapy, in all the unsung glory it possesses, could be the one thing separating the normal population of Homo Sapiens Sapiens from the simple step towards Homo Maximus. Would normal men truly pass over the potential to become one of the empowered with a simple formula administered in the right dosage? A triggered therapy that could essentially create an ability in the common man is not a stretch of the imagination.
In this case, it would also be quite ironic; for gene therapy replaces defunct and mutated subjects with those that function correctly. In clearer words, the segment of mankind that is a mutation of the Homo genus would be Homo Sapiens Sapiens itself, and not Homo Maximus. This conclusion that the Evolved population is the true population of the Homo genus is a strange one to comprehend, in all of our human pride, however the figures that present themselves are difficult to disregard, since tales of empowered persons have been noted in the culture of mankind since the beginning of written history; in a melded vein, one could even argue that many of Christianity's special individuals were gifted by God in that they were born Homo Maximus. The Suresh Linkage Complex is the terminology for the genetic markers that are searched for when determining Evolved individuals. Is it possible that these markers that the process detects are in fact not mutated, and we of the scientific community are simply too ignorant to know better? Perhaps, to find the key to unlocking Homo Maximus, we must do as Galileo and put another figure at the center of our universe; in fewer words, perhaps we must see the evolved populace as true man, and ourselves as dysfunctional.
In some years, however, our need to become one with this apparent "True Man" may become unnecessary. Regarding genetic drift, it carried Homo Sapiens Sapiens through as the dominant species; in the act of substitution, a previously non-existent variable arises by mutation(Homo Sapiens Sapiens) and undergoes fixation by spreading through the population by random genetic drift. Fixation is defined as the change in a gene pool from a situation where there exist at least two variants of a particular gene to a situation where only one remains. Although the common man has clearly not met the stages of fixation, with the rising population of those endowed with special abilities, it is clear that the tables have been turned, and the mutation of Homo Sapiens Sapiens is slowly being bred out of the population in favor of the "True Man", who in the end may achieve total fixation of the Homo genus.

(Following this introduction that seems to be infecting newsreels on its own, comes the article and research that thoroughly explains the many points outlined above. Only men and women of science will be likely to understand the fineries, and so many news companies keep to airing and printing a repost of the controversial introduction itself. In many circles, reporting parts of and quoting the article has become rather viral. Responses on Youtube will certainly surface, as will old, often equally strange or controversial articles written by Doctor Cong.)
