Behind Bowie's desk, the wall has been covered in butcher paper. It's a habit his coworkers are familiar with by now. His notes (in Mandarin, sorry guys) are pinned off to the side, but he uses the space to recreate them in a more accessible fashion. He stands, his hands on his hips, his tie removed, his hair in a bit of a mess. On the left, his notes from his visit to the library.

There's plenty of space for him to add to it. And for other investigators to, if they're so inclined. But for now, it's all him. He reaches over to flip on the radio, turning the volume up since most of the others are out of the office just now. And then he grabs a marker and starts making adjustments.

Booksellers: probably a raccoon or rat using their stock to make a nest. Sad, but unrelated.
Witnesses around the market didn't see much, but smelled sewage? The nesting animals might be down there.
Contact the city about checking for leaks.
Otherwise quiet on the night of the theft.

Will confirmed as a regular presence at the market for about six months, comes by after sunset. Hard to pin down.
Might talk to a civilian. One witness said I "looked like a badge". :(

Gathering his new notes, he pins them up on the paper, too. Then steps back to sit on his desk and look at it. He reaches for a Rubik's cube that sits on his desk. Not to solve it, just to turn the sections as he looks over what he has so far. No solution jumps out, but he didn't expect it to so early. Maybe he hoped, but he didn't expect. "This is weird," he says to no one except himself.
