New York Public Library: Rooftop
Trask has come in normal Sergei get up, making it to the Library he checks to see if Helena is in, then heads to where she is.
Helena is on the roof. Regardless of the cold NYC weather, where Helena is, it's a comfortable temperature. She could spend hours up here if the had the opportunity.
Trask is well bound up as he ascends to the library roof, "It's a beautiful view up here. Even if the scenery is despressing."
"I don't think it's depressing anymore." Helena comments thoughtfully. "I think now it's more like a promise. Things can only get better." She tursns her head to regard him. "If you want to talk closer, we'll have to go inside." Her ability will cancel if he comes nearer.
Trask shakes his head, "A woman came to me today, trying to get me to run a check on some people, without it going through official channels, I thought it was something I should bring to your attention.
Well, that certainly gets her attention. "Who was it, and who was she trying to get a check up on?" she inquires.
Trask says, "She was looking for a woman named Danielle Hamilton, who she said was an agent for Mr. Linderman, Linderman Act Linderman. She says that Miss Hamilton was taken from her apartment a few days ago, but that because of her connections with Linderman, she was afraid to go to the police about it publicly."
"Dani Hamilton is dead." Helena says neutrally. "Who was this woman who came looking for her?"
Trask says, "She was looking for Catherin Chesterfield too, Ygraine, she use to work with you at the bike messengers"
"Cat's at a safehouse." Helena looks thoughtful. "I'm not sure how to handle this. I guess I could tell Cat she should contact Ygraine, but the news will be bad about Dani."
Trask nods, "I know. I will make sure a written report on everything she said is on your desk. she and Jenny are apparently pretty close."
Helena nods. "Please." she says. "I'll make sure the right people follow up."
