PSW DEAD ZONE — News is slow to emerge from the embattled American southwest where a recent earthquake estimated at a 7.3 magnitude shook the region around what once Redding. This quake is believed to be responsible for uncontrolled wildfires now spreading across much of Northern California. Several chemical plants damaged in the battle for the American west were further compromised by this quake. Satellite imagery shows the Hexacorp Chemical Plant just outside of Chico as the potential epicenter of this unstoppable conflagration.
With no civil services or public safety resources, the wildfire is expected to rage uncontested across California. The President is expected to make a statement about the wildfire and efforts to prevent further collateral damage at a press conference later this week.
