Built to Do More: Yamagato Industries Expands Collaborative Robot Solutions, Adding Heavy Payload Capability for Tetsujin product line.

Yamagato Industries, the most trusted and widely-deployed construction robot manufacturer in the world, announces the immediate availability of the T8 Heavy Tetsujin which boasts an impressive 8,760 lb payload capability.

Yamagato Industries combines the high payload with the latest advancements in its KIBIN autonomous navigation algorithms that allows the T8 to navigate hazardous terrain with no or minimal input from outside operators, making it ideal for automating tasks such as heavy-duty material handling, heavy-part handling, and construction tasks in hazardous environments.

“In today’s uncertain economic climate manufacturers need to look at flexible solutions to stay competitive,” said Hayate Kawahara, President of Yamagato Industries. “With the T8, we meet the need for a collaborative robot that can tackle heavy-duty tasks reliably and efficiently. This launch significantly expands the versatility of our product portfolio and gives manufacturers even more ways to improve performance, overcome labor challenges, and grow their business.”

Developed on Yamagato Industries' innovative T-Series platform, the T8 offers immense benefits, capabilities and value for manufacturers, including:

  • Fast and simple deployment utilizing automated voice commands or manual remote control
    • The T8 makes accelerating automation easy and fast. Programming and integration is simple – regardless of the user’s experience or knowledge base. Like all of Yamagato Industries construction robots, the Heavy Tetsujin can be unpacked, charged, and deployed to perform a task within less then an hour.
  • Ideal for heavy-duty material handling and machine tending
    • Rugged and reliable, the T8 is ideal for automating high-payload and hazardous labor environments inhospitable or unsafe for human operation.

The first 100 production-ready T8 Heavy Tetsujins were deployed to the SEA-TAC Safe Zone construction site on June 5th of this year and orders are available now for an estimated cost of $18.21 million USD per unit.
