Searsmont Bioengineer Missing

At 9am Eastern time this morning, retired bioengineer Victoria Pratt and her adopted son Jared Ashworth were reported missing from their home in Searsmont, ME. A neighbor discovered the front door and one window open after Jared failed to catch the bus to school. Evidence suggests some sort of confrontation, possibly kidnapping. The investigation is still in preliminary stages and police would not say whether they had any leads.
