things are going ok. settling in in KC, currently thinking of ways to deface my boring-ass government office they've given me. Elliot is doing ok too, mostly in a holding pattern right now but I can contact him if you'd like him to be involved in the conversation (not doing that is ok too if you would rather not start a group chat)

100%.
He's much more tame than some of my other friends have been, though. I can't remember if you ever met Larkspur, but she was an absolute menace to stray strings and out of place hairs. Sweaters were not safe. Neither were channel selections she didn't favor.
I proposed him the idea of a little hat. He is too mad at me still to consider it.

I'm trying not to burn myself out. I couldn't work in the office today, though.

I don't think Everleigh's aware of it all even though I know she acts as the therapist for a couple of Raytech folks. I mean, eventually, I feel like she will.
But I don't think I'd wish this on anyone.
This was so much more different when it didn't have a timeline. I've known for a long time this was coming. I had a dream once that wasn't a dream, one that a lot of people had, and ever since then, it's been kind of like this… waiting? This knowing that one day everything was going to go sideways again. The only thing I did out there was put myself in danger I probably shouldn't have, and caused others from Raytech to come looking for me. We ended up in the crossfire for some of what happened, yeah.
Saw a miracle get turned into a horror, and wished with all my heart that it would stop without more death.
Maybe it worked. The thing in Eve stopped killing. But a second later, someone stabbed Eve and killed her, so…
I haven't been back to Detroit since. idk about ever going back to that park again, honestly.

I don’t want you to think I’m downplaying the badness of Detroit or how difficult it was to experience
I wasn’t there and I don’t know what it was like at all other than the reports I’ve read since
But I know it takes real strength to come through something like that and still function
So you should be proud of yourself
I’m confident we can make it through this one too and still live full lives when we’re done
