  • I guessed that this was a call for Jaiden to embrace his darker instincts. Specifically I said " Trying to get Jaiden to turn more to his darker natures - the ones he keeps pushed down in the depths." Manny said I hit the nail on the head. ~

Whispers from the Static (Stella)

I don't think these are from Corona, but I think it is tied to them.

  • I agree. It seems to be a completely different personality to Corona. Maybe another aspect of them? Depending on how the eyes of sun and moon actually work. But this one seems to have better intentions? Or, at least, sounds nicer. (well. sometimes.)

  • Per Eimi-player: "Enter the darkness" could reference when she teleports/jumps with her ability. Since she doesn't teleport instantaneously. Which means that for a moment, whatever, she's somewhere else. The darkness, if I were to guess.
Ygraine:

  • A 'simple' option is that Ygraine could theoretically pick a lock by manipulating the orientation of individual lock-tumblers in succession. But that seems improbable as something for inter-dimensional whispering to point out…
  • Much more likely is that this relates to gravity interacting with time-space. There's been some previous speculation on this, but (barring a string of very specific options being true for both gravity and the workings of Ygraine's ability) she can't do a Varlane and rip open a black hole even if such a thing permits jumping between times/dimensions/whatever. As hinted at in the Static comment, she very probably can't create a door herself. But her ability works based on her own perceptions and proximity: find some way to give her perception of a 'portal' (time-window, Mallet Device effect, or whatever else) and it might be possible for her to 'bridge' the gap - link something on one side to the other. As written, her ability redirects all gravity flowing through an object: if there's a door to another time-stream, it might thus be possible for her to use the other side's own gravity to make something cross over (or our side's gravity to propel something from here to there). It 'just' requires a door to already exist, to be perceptible to her, and (again) particular things to be true about her ability and about space/time/gravity. Simple all round.

  • So this whisper finally happened for Jonathan while at the gala. It came with some sensory information that I think it going to be very important. One of those, he'll suddenly understand when those elements come together. I can't wait till that happens. So exciting to think about. Here is the whole thing:
    • She is as brittle as glass, is a strange whisper echoing in the back of Jonathan’s mind. A voice not his own that insinuates itself like an intrusive thought, “and she needs your strength.” It comes with the sensory hallucination of wet concrete, dry leaves, damp soil, and the shadow of a bird flying in his peripheral vision.
      • There is someone who likes the smell of wet concrete. Petrichor. Eyeing this bird shadow. EYEING IT.
