Character History:

It started with a card.

A rendevous of sorts that led Gillian, eventually, into the front doors of Pinehearst's building in Fort Lee. Though she didn't officially begin working with them exclusively until Sylar was taken in by HomeSec, she did make deals with them. 2010 led to her actually working with them a great deal, specifically in the archives where her training as a librarian would be of the most use. To start, she had no access to secret projects.

In 2011, Gillian enjoyed minor media attention in the shadow of some of the brighter members of Phoenix. She did accept the Medal of Honor due to her assistance in saving the world, and she grew closer to her Phoenix compatriots. When Helena and Peter became engaged, she was told and seemed happy for them. Until of course everything blew to pieces. Gillian had actually been at the speech, though she was not one of the fourteen casualties. She saw some of her friends die, and she was injured by the same bomb that killed them. Medicine had already gone a long way. Working for Pinehearst had benifits.

On September 17th, 2011, she assisted Arthur and Peter Petrelli in their changing of the ruined Manhattan, and at the same time she began to grow closer to her lost friend's former fiancee. It started out comfort. It turned into more. Every relationship has ups and downs, theirs included, but they ended up getting married in early 2012.

Their marriage immediately became a public spectacle and media frenzy. People liked sap stories. Fairytale weddings are rarely what they appear, though. By marriage into the Petrelli family, Gillian gained more access to things she wouldn't have had before, raising higher and higher in the ranks of Pinehearsts archives, until she began getting access to secret things. Things that she did nothing at all to argue against or try to stop. By all accounts, she supports the actions of her place of employement, even the secret ones. This has continued until this day. At 32, she's one of the top archivists in Pinehearst, with access to many secret things, and she lives a life of media attention and respect. She's also filthy rich.

Evolved Human Ability:

She's a lot stronger than before, but has become much more focused as a result. She can no longer boost large groups of people, nor can she boost at a large distance. She must be able to see the people, and they must be close at hand if not in physical contact with her. She can not boost more than two people at a time anymore. This is the disadvantage gained by increasing her control and learning to turn her ability off completely. The level of augmentation now has stages. The higher the augmentation, the more they and she glow, and the shade of purple also dictates the level.

Dark purple is raw, usually minor or uncontrolled augmentation. Violet is higher level. The highest of all is nearly white.

• Wasn't always a socialite. See Gillian of 2009.
• Tattoos, all the visible ones, have been removed. She still has the yin/yang tattoo on her left wrist which she always covers with bracelets, and she likely has more in private areas that only her husband would be able to see.
  • At least until Deckard, at Gabriel's request, invaded her privacy, the bastard! The remaining tattoo is the bio-hazard symbol on her inner thigh, a triangular symbol of some kind of her hip/butt and a vine blooming with flowers wrapped around her waist.

As the wife of Peter Petrelli, Gillian of 2019 has raised to heights making her an important public figure, even if her marriage has dark clouds on the corners. Many of her past relationships have been broken or lost, but when faced with people from the past who might destroy everything she has come to value and love, she chooses to help them, rather than work against them. Relationships

Peter Petrelli Husband. After the death of Helena Dean in the Columbia 14 disaster, Gillian grew close to him. She had already been acquaintances, but she was one of the only people who he spent much time with thanks to her position in Pinehearst. They became into lovers and grew from there. On December 23rd, 2011, she asked him to marry her (or it might have been mutual and caused by his father, but she likes to think she started it). It was his 32nd Birthday. They got married in April of 2012. After nearly seven years of marriage, she is still extremely devoted to him, loves him, but that does not mean there are not issues (see Helena). Issues that have gotten worse in the last year, causing them to spend a lot more time apart than before. Just busy with work and events, is what she'd say to anyone. Things will get better. Except that they won't, and she's starting to see that now. She's also seeing things in him she had closed her eyes against, ignored. She still loves him, is still willing to say it, but so much would be easier for them if he'd eventually return the same.

Gabriel Gray Once one of her closest and most important of all relationships. It's odd how years can change things. Ten years later, the two speak on at public functions (usually police fund raisers and the like), but they could not be considered on friendly terms. Or even polite terms. They snipe and insult each other readily. It was his imprisonment and what happened to Gillian that year that drove them apart. Though she still cares about him, she hides it with the sniping and the insults. But she keeps tabs on him through her secret BFF (Badass Future Friend) Magnes.

Magnes Varlane Gillian's secret BFF (Badass Future Friend) who she keeps as a secret drinking buddy to mock movies with, talk, and she actually keeps tabs on Gabriel through him due to the fact that he's Gabriel's partner. She's also planning to set him up with some lonely women she knows, since he deserves to put his dick to good use, since she's not allowing their friendship to become anything more than what it already is.

Eve Mas Of most of the people in the future, Eve could have been considered Gillian's closest friend for the last few years. They had ups and downs, and Eve had to leave to take care of things, while Gillian had to stay behind, but they remained close and supportive of each other, and continued to keep contact over the years. Their contact has led Eve to be staying at the Petrelli mansion due to her newest crisis… She can no longer dream of the future. The dreams are blank, empty. This reality terrifies Gillian.

Teodoro 'Teo' Laudani An old friend from her days starting out in Phoenix. Gillian respected Teo as a leader, and enjoyed his company. Not only that, but she shared some flirtations with him (as he shared with just about anything that breathed). There had even been a brief time, during certain difficult moments, where it might have been something more. These times were brief. Now she still considers him a respected friend, though not one of her closest ones. He's been busy, after all. And so has she.

Catherine Chesterfield One of the first people that Gillian met connected to Phoenix, Cat also helped bring her into the fold. The two of them became friends, along with Helena and other members of Phoenix, after things began to settle and the unlawfully imprisoned got pardons. The medal that they received help bring them together, as well as everything they experienced. The two of them were among the first to learn of Helena and Peter's engagement, and agreed to be bridesmaids for her. Only to be there when she died nine days later. Despite being closer to Helena that Gillian, Cat still supported Gillian and Peter's budding relationship, and they remain friends.

Helena Dean The leader of Phoenix. Joan of Arc of the resistance. Wendy for Peter. Alice down the Rabbit Hole. Helena had a big impact on Gillian, in ways she may not have even realized. Fate seemed destined to break them apart from the people they wanted to be with, in multiple ways. When it seemed that Helena and Peter would get their happiness, she'd been glad — if envious — for them both, happy they would get what they had worked so hard for, and what she had never been able to get with Gabriel. But then she died. Though Gillian's gone to lengths to build happiness out of ashes, the leader of Phoenix remains an ever present ghost of the past for whom her husband still holds a torch. And the fact that she's now literally walking around…
