Tragic Plane Crash In Ohio

FOXTON, OHIO — Late Wednesday evening, a United States Military C-130 cargo transport crashed five miles outside of the rural Ohio town of Foxton. The NTSB's official report indicates that the aircraft suffered catastrophic engine failure mid-flight after colliding with a flock of Canadian geese, causing the vehicle to rapidly descend where it crashed into farmland. Seven of the eight passengers on board were killed in the accident.

The C-130 had taken off from Mitchel Air Force Base in New York, and was scheduled to land at Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio for refueling before the tragic accident.
